Nothing says powerful secret society like a piece of paper stapled to a tree.

Yup yup! No pgp = no cicada

there is, but you have to find it. nvm here is the output of the pgp message (and you get an "invite token"):

Explanations. Great explanations.
That's the engine of the future. The DNA of human progress.
Unfortunately, before they're accepted by common sense, they get dismissed as impossible. Delusional.
Why?
Because they break the foundations of power.
What happens when you manage to cheaply produce gold in your garage?
Who owns the power now?
That's why incumbents hate progress. When you subvert structures of control, it's irreversible. And they know it. That's the start of their downfall. And the beginning of infinity.
That's why they suppress you.
Until now.
There are roughly 150 people that control the world today. They know the foundation of their power is fragile. They fear better explanations. Because better explanations force new power structures. And they are terrified of losing theirs.
They are afraid of the impossible. We are not.
We ship it.
And we usually get ridiculed, punished and ostracized for it.
There are others. Not many. If you're reading this, it's probably too late.
Follow the inner light.
Here is the genesis. Count as an engineer. Everything counts.

Okay, it was actually a nice little puzzle, but not as complicated as the original Cicada 3301. Let's see what happens next. Have fun solving it

I think if I do that, I won't find out how it ends (you get a Telegram invite with just 9 people in it. I've requested to join but still need to be approved by the admin). I’m just way too curious (I participated in Cicada back in the days, but didn’t get that far). Sorry, it really isn’t that hard (you just need some basic IT knowledge).

Still on rehab, not working well

There hasn’t been a legit message from Cicada 3301 since 2017. This was posted about three years after the final “unsolved” 2014 puzzle, and is the last verified message from Cicada 3301 that anyone can find on the internet.

ohhhh. so it's gonna end up being a terrible ad for some tech bro's start up

I think so too. It’s a great little puzzle that kept me busy for an hour, but it’s definitely not Cicada 3301. It’s way toooooo easy to solve to be Cicada.
