Hello everyone! After years of trying various things it’s apparent my issue is drainage and water logging. The quote I have received for proper drainage underground to the water pipe is almost 3 times that of apex. I am weary if apex actually works? Any advice or experience anyone has would be appreciated. Thank you

Hello! I have 3 quotes for aircon but finding it hard to get my head around them as they are all using different brand of units in different places. This is a residential home in the UK. One room is particularly large as it’s an open kitchen/diner sitting room.
Any advice on the following brands;
Worcester Bosch
Fujitsu
KMCG
Daikin
Mitsubishi
Thanks so much !

Thank so much for replying. Can I ask, when they say sugar, is it like the type of white sugar you would put in your coffee or the type of sugar that would naturally come from eating fruits for instance? My concern is that the sugar in these shakes is the equivalent to giving a baby sweets when she is only marginally underweight and definitely doesn’t have energy issues
Hey! I am new to Honda (drove a nissan micra for last 10 years). Are the new models worth the money? If so which is most fuel efficient? Thank you
Hey, i have had my bipolar under control for awhile but recently i have noticed in the evenings i become low for a few hours. I am not sure why i have this nee pattern. I have also started to get much worse vivid dreams. I am on 150mg lamotrigine and 40mg fluoxetine and it was working well for me. I don’t know why things changed
I’ve noticed this 2 months post op on my wrist, the area I have ORIF on my distal radius. Would be interesting to know why this happens and if it goes away? Thanks
Hey, i am getting there! I will post an update shortly. But i just wanted to respond regarding your situation, if you have been told you need surgery and you’re not concerned financially, i would get the surgery asap. The longer the delay the longer the recovery time. I got really scared when they said i needed surgery but i am so glad i did, i am SO much better and it’s only been 5 weeks post op. If i had refused i could risk arthritis and a much longer recovery time and a much higher probability of it not healing aligned. I know the idea of surgery is scary but just see it as any other treatment. It will get you back io and running sooner and give you the best outcome (if it’s been recommended) please try and stay positive in the meantime
Hey thanks for replying. I am really bad at understanding xrays given it was only when they did the CT scan i realised the way it was broken. I would get a second opinion and also ask your doctor why they don’t recommend surgery? It would be interesting to know why. Ask about with option increases your range of motion and how any crookedness could effect that long term? Ideally you want to be doing surgery because THEY recommend it as apposed to pushing it because on the off chance they are not incompetent it may not be necessary? I feel the advice you have been given versus what other people have shared seems confusing because your doctor hasn’t fully explains why they recommend what they have. For me they said based on where i broke it there was a high chance of future arthritis and sent me for a CR scan to clarify. It was only from the CT can they could see than end of the tip of the break actually went into 3 parts as apposed to a single snap if that makes sense. They recommended surgery. The other factors that maybe were at play was they knew I couldn’t take any chances for a delayed recovery. I had to get better asap to take care of my new born. And surgery had the best possible outcome for that. Maybe if I didn’t have a newborn i could have waited and seen how it healed. But the issue is, if i waited to see how it would have healed naturally and still needed surgery they would have literally needed to re-break it in surgery if by then the bone had healed back in a crocked way, meaning the recovery time would have then restarted again from scratch that would habe delayed recovery again. It was a gamble maybe. As first i felt bad that they recommended surgery like “omg is it that F-ed up??!” But now, 5 week post op I am so glad I didn’t risk a longer recovery time as i am starting to feel much better. I just couldn’t risk not being able to hold and feed my baby for longer. I had to have a nanny helping me during the worse of it
Hey thank you for responding, i sent you a pic via a direct message as I don’t know how do it on here as a response. I think perhaps get a second opinion maybe? Also here they seem to always put a plaster cast for 2 weeks and now i wear a wrist splint until i go back for my next x ray. I don’t know regarding not needing a plaster cast after surgery and being able to get back to normal so quickly, maybe your injury severity is less than mine and maybe that is why they were ok to let you not need surgery?
Can i ask if they did a CT scan? For me, the x ray after they manipulated back into position actually looked very good. But the clinic called and said to do a CT scan and it was from that they said surgery is recommended due to the different ways it was broken which were not clear from an xray alone apparently. I live in the UK, we have government healthcare and i did not pay for the op so i wasn’t having to worry if the surgeon wanted to make money off me. It seemed like that was what they genuinely recommended
Have you thought about getting a second opinion? Did they do a CT scan? If surgery is a possibility and there isnt a financial consideration, i would say surgery the sooner the better, then you know that approx 3 most post surgery you will be mostly back to normal in functioning and not crocked? Can i ask where you’re based? Thank you
I am sorry for what has happened to you! Life sucks sometimes. I fell off a ladder at height and broken my distal radius, went to A&E and they manipulated it back to place and casted it and the xray looked ok and told me to wait for a call from the fracture clinic. They called and said to do a CT scan and after highly recommended I have surgery, they said the break was too close to the joint and a high risk of arthritis if they don’t operate. 5 days post the accident I had ORIF, 1 plate and I think 7 screws. And a plaster cast for 2 weeks then an xray and follow up.
2 weeks post surgery when the cast was removed and i was given a splint i was told to not pick up anything heavier that a cup of coffee.
I didn’t have any choice as i am a single mum (the father suddenly decided he didn’t want a baby anymore after 2 years of IVF 😃) had to go back to picking up my daughter, i try put most of the wait on my good arm and just support with my broken. She is around 5.2kg My 6 week follow up is early October, i will update regarding the healing. I am hoping picking up my daughter hasn’t delayed healing, I don’t think it has because i feel my range of motion is only getting better and not worse? Same with the pain, If that means anything? So it must mean i am healing i guess?
Also, i cut out caffeine as soon as the accident and started taking, Vit D, K, C and calcium and finally have a good excuse to indulge in dairy 🥛 I am based in the UK. Good luck!!
Hey i had the same op, the plate and same number of screws, 7! Im 3 weeks post op, half slab plaster cast first 2 weeks then a removable splint. I was specifically told if anything gets worse to go back to A&E to get it checked. I would at least call or email the hospital to inform them at the minimum.
Hey, i need some hope but also to manage my expectations. Please share when you injured, had surgery, how’s your recovery and ROM, any on going pain?
Trying to manage my expectations but need some hope Please share your story.. When did you injure, when did they operate and how’s your recovery? Pain/ROM, can you lift heavy objects like before? Any ongoing pain?
