Commission News!!

I need to take a moment to be real with you for a second. As you obviously know, I am now doing art full-time. I am getting so much more done for you than I ever have before, and I cannot thank you enough for that. It has been brought to my attention through certain people I know, and through personal DMs sent directly to me, that some people are unsatisfied with the lack of immediate expediency when it comes to me getting to their commission requests. I'm making this statement to everyone so that no one feels targeted, because there are a lot of people this applies to. I am human. I am one man. I sit at my desk for eight entire hours straight, sometimes more when I start early or stay late to get ahead on bigger projects and commissions. I dedicate solid hours each day to making the content you all enjoy from me. Regardless of how much of a priority commissions may be for you, unless you have already paid me for one, your commission request is not a priority for me. I am not trying to sound heartless. I am being realistic and honest. My schedule is clearly posted on the Discord server, but for some reason people are choosing to ignore it and effectively demand that I skip them in line and work on theirs immediately. I need to be honest with you: that is extremely selfish and disrespectful, especially to the people who are already waiting patiently ahead of you. The moment I accept payment and start working on a commission, I complete it within two days. No other artist can say the same. Also, when I do a commission, I'm not just entering a prompt and clicking generate. Look at the commissions I have done. I challenge anyone to replicate them with just a prompt. Every detail you see in commissioned OCs is a 1:1 representation of them from their reference sheets.

How am I able to do that? I add the details by hand. When things are done by hand, time doesn't stop. The world keeps spinning. I get as much done each day as I possibly can. I'm not slacking off. I am at my desk for the entire eight hours working. That is my level of dedication and commitment to you. Please do not repeatedly message me asking for a status update on your commission request. I have a list of people who are waiting. If I told you I will do yours, you are on that list. Please relax. That is also why I do not accept commission money until I am ready to work on your commission. I do not believe in holding your money hostage the way some other artists do. So with that being said, if you have not paid me for a commission, I do not owe you one or an update on where you are in the queue. If I told you I would do your request when I'm ready, I will let you know when I am. I am a businessman. Commissions = income. So of course I want to do your commission. Reason #1: it's revenue for me. Reason #2(the most important reason): you get a personalized piece from me. I LOVE doing commissions for you! But I can't do ONLY commissions. If I only did commissions, then I would not be making content for all my subscribers who pay me monthly to see the flow of content I put out. I can't do both at the same time. That's why I have time scheduled for commissions and time scheduled for my other projects.

I sincerely do not mean to sound crude or mean about this. I truly don't, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. If you think you're the only one asking, I promise you that you're not. I try to respond to as many DMs as I can. If I don't respond right away, it is either because I am actively in the middle of something or because your message got buried under the tidal wave of DMs I receive daily. I would never ignore you on purpose. I can promise you that. It is not deliberate or intentional. Again, this is now my sole income. I have to operate it like a business because, well, because it is one. With that comes the responsibility of running it as such. I follow my schedule because it keeps me focused and on track. I assure you that I am working tirelessly to provide as much for you as I possibly can. Please try to understand it from my perspective.
