Palaeontologist Darren Naish specializes in dinosaurs and is based at the University of Portsmouth. He has published many popular books on prehistoric animals, such as Great Dinosaur Discoveries (University of California Press), Encyclopedia of Dinosaurs and Prehistoric Life (DK) and Walking with Dinosaurs- The Evidence (BBC), the highly acclaimed accompaniment to the TV series Walking with Dinosaurs. He has also been involved with several children s books on prehistoric animals.

    I like this book better than the other illustrated "Life Size" books. It has more variety and more interesting dinosaurs, and fresher illustrations. However, it can't compare to the photographic "Life Size" books (like LS Zoo, LS Farm, LS Aquarium). I understand that it would be impossible to have a photographic book of dinosaurs, but only mention the comparison because once you've seen the photographic "Life Size" books, it's hard for any others to compare.
