4.0 out of 5 stars The best adult WWD book

Short version: If you want the best adult WWD book, get Martill/Naish's "Walking with Dinosaurs: The Evidence" (henceforth Evidence). I recommend reading Evidence in conjunction with other, more recent books (E.g. Holtz's "Dinosaurs").

4.0 out of 5 stars exploring the show

This is short but interesting book - which is a tie-in to the BBC's "Walking with Dinosaurs" project. The author, Dave Martill, presents the facts and arguments which underlie the ideas featured in this elaborate natural history documentary series. As such, the claims offered in the series are explained (and defended) in this book.

It's well-written, and is intended for young readers (especially children age 11+), although it's also suitable for adults. Each piece of evidence is identified and discussed, and - where appropriate - photos (including images from the series) are included.

While this is certainly not a thorough examination of the available evidence, it's nonetheless a fun read - and I recommended it to anyone who enjoyed the TV series and is interested in finding out more about the dinosaurs featured in it. If you enjoy this book, I also recommend The Walking with Dinosaurs: the Facts.
