The Tactician is a class that debuted in Fire Emblem Awakening.
History in the Series[]
The Tactician class is introduced in Awakening as a special class for Robin, the player's Avatar. It is a fairly balanced class meant to give the player damage flexibility since the class wields Swords for physical damage and Tomes for magic damage. It also has flat even growths for all of their offensive and defensive stats to better mold them to the player's Traits preferences without necessarily innately specializing in some aspects. Despite having magic abilities, the Tactician class does not have the same perks of a Mage as they are encumbered by sand maps. Unlike Chrom's Lord class or Olivia's Dancer class, the Tactician is inherited by all of Robin's children.
In Vestaria Saga I, the Tactician is an NPC-only class. It wields no weapons and is exclusive to Garlan.

Known Tacticians[]
Starting[]
Reclassing[]
- Morgan - If Robin marries anyone other than Chrom, Lucina, Olivia, or Walhart.
- Any other child of Robin.
- All SpotPass, DLC, and StreetPass Characters.
Vestaria Saga I[]
- Garlan - Zade's tactician, an earl in the Redessian aristocracy.
Trivia[]
- If a StreetPass team with a Bride or a Dread Fighter unit appears on a game card without their respective DLC installed, the units will instead appear using the Tactician model (with the class itself being listed as an "Outrealm Class") but with the same weapon access and stats of those respective classes.
