Very thorough heat pump inspection service. Highly recommended! The price was very reasonable and they arrived on time.

The technicians are knowledgeable, but what they really know is how to overcharge customers. They gave me an estimate for a service for $731. I bought the parts for $17.20 and install it for less than two minutes. Earlier, for another service, they gave me a quote for more than $1,000. I fixed the issue myself without spending a penny. read more

I have mixed feelings about my experience with All Tech Services. While the communication was good and the actual technician was professional, their pricing model feels predatory. Before the appointment, I asked multiple times for a ballpark estimate to replace a kitchen sink faucet (which I provided myself). They refused to give any pricing over the phone. Once the technician arrived, I was quoted $585.00 for a job that took less than one hour. Even if you factor in an hour of travel time, the rate exceeds $290/hour. When I protested the cost, I was offered a 5% discount, which felt like a hollow gesture given the massive markup. I only proceeded because the repair was urgent and I couldn't wait for another company. If you decide to use them, be aware that you will be going in 'blind' and will likely pay significantly above market rates for simple installations. read more

Long review, bear with me. Having used them in the past, I recently called AllTech for a leak under my kitchen sink. Diagnosis was bad garbage disposal, which I was fine with since my house is 10 years old. What blew me away was their estimate to replace a garbage disposal = $1,033 (and that's with a supposed "discount"). That night, I went to Lowe's picked up a new $150 garbage disposal, had my wife look on our community FB page for a plumber reference, called him and he said he would install for $185, came the next day it was done. So I paid $335 out the door vs. $1k+ through AllTech. I have now realized AllTech is highway robbery. I regret not getting multiple estimates for my whole house water softener system + reverse osmosis + water heater back in 2024 which AllTech did. In hindsight, they took me to the cleaners. It's likely not just them, I think this is indicative of the home services companies in general, especially in Loudoun where most folks have the means to fully pay for repair services. What irks me more is that these companies have turned their plumbers (and electricians, etc) into sleazy salespeople whose compensation is partly commission based. They're always trying to upsell you on why you need the more superior product. In my garbage disposal example, the AllTech plumber "recommended" the 3/4 hp version (not the 1/3 hp that came with the house). He claimed the 3/4 hp lasts double the number of years but "only" costs $300 more. When my community recommended plumber came, he said the 3/4 hp model is for restaurants, etc. In summary, if you're willing to get the parts yourself, find trustworthy recommendations (from a neighbor, community FB page, even task rabbit, etc), you can save yourself 50%-70%. These companies exist as the "easy" button for which you'll pay an unecessary premium. read more

I like the techs but their customer service and billing has some major issues. They thought I owed money then they thought I was paid in full. This went back and forth for multiple months and I kept telling them to charge me. They said there was something wrong on their end and it wasn't my fault yet they kept sending me bills and emailing me. I again kept saying to bill me and had the same run around. read more

I don't feel like writing a long review so i will list the issues i have with alltech. 1. i have had the unit for just shy 2 years. Repairs every 6 months since owning it. 2. electronic boards, hvac parts... continue to fail. 3. the technicians are solid but dont seem to show on time or give a better time frame for arrival. 4. they say they have an 8 hour time frame and always show up close to the end. Bottom line, this company sells faulty units, they replace with faulty parts, they fail to give a reasonable time frame to adjust for the owners work schedule and generally this company would never be my first choice. read more

I bought a Lenox A/C system last year and it's already broken down twice. The service was awful and they are too busy to give proper customer service. They sell junk and make money on service calls and labor later. Do yourself a favor and find a smaller company that still has integrity and values customer service. read more

I called AllTech to get an HVAC service for my dual system HVACs. The price for fall and spring seasonal appointments was $467 (or $233 per season, or $116 per cooling unit-air handler system). I was told by the individual who took my payment and scheduled my appointment that the fee also included a free plumbing inspection and water heater maintenance. I explained that my water heater system is tankless, and that water heater maintenance in that case would mean a tankless water heater flush. The individual needed to check with the plumbing department and did so, confirming that the maintenance would be a tankless water heater flush. When the tech arrived for the service appointment about a month later, he told my wife that the maintenance did not include a tankless water heater flush, and that he did not have the tools to conduct the flush, and that it would be an extra $549 and needed to be scheduled separately. I was understandably upset since this felt a lot like a bait and switch. The tech was patient and listened to my concerns, and he promised to call his supervisor who would call me back. Very shortly thereafter, perhaps five minutes or so, his supervisor Mike from the Plumbing Department called me. After a little bit of discussion, he agreed that AllTech had signed a contract with me to perform these services, and they would stand by their word and honor their contract. I admire honest service providers, and I appreciate Mike's integrity. The two technicians who worked on my home, Gene Powers and Sergio Brito, were both very knowledgeable, skilled, and patient and detailed in their explanations of their inspections of our HVAC, plumbing system, and water heater. Sergio identified an issue with a component in our HVAC system that was testing out of tolerance, and he replaced the component for $387. This repair seems very expensive and was probably far above the price we would have paid if we had shopped around, but since he was already there at the house and it was simpler to have him complete the repair, we agreed to it. Gene identified the source of a water leak we have experienced with our hot water heater during the aforementioned flush, which had to do with an improperly installed gasket, and he fixed the installation of the gasket as part of reassembling the system during the water heater flush. During the plumbing check, we were told that our garbage disposal had leaked and needed to be replaced, and the estimate was $984.60 which seems very high. (Equivalent 3/4 hp replacement systems at Home Depot are priced at $150-300, so the labor would be between $700-850 which seems very high if this job can be completed in an hour or so.) The water heater flush estimate we were quoted was $550 on its own, which is basically an hour of labor. We've had this service done previously by a different plumber for $150. I am giving AllTech five stars because Mike demonstrated integrity and they stood by their contract with me. My wife felt safe and respected by Sergio and Gene, and they were both very expert and knowledgeable in their fields. I feel confident in the service and repairs that they provided, and I think they were honest about the issues they identified. All of that said, AllTech seems to be on the expensive end of the market. read more

Just asked for an estimate for a sizeable plumbing job in our two-story home. Ryan Clatterbuck from Winchester came out to look at our issue, and went into great detail about the pros and cons of all of our options. Never any pressure, and he displayed far more understanding and knowledge of our issue and how to best attack it. We're still looking at our estimates and in the middle of making a decision, but Ryan's professionalism is absolutely tipping the scales in favor of AllTech. Absolutely blown away by Ryan's knowledge. read more

This company will come in and provide you ridiculous pricing for everything. We were told that to change the water mixing valve, a part that costs $60 bucks, will cost $850. Then were told that they also recommend replacing the shut off main, which will cost $800. Not sure how this company has this good yelp reviews because all they seem to be doing is cheating their customers with absurd pricing. read more

They do fabulous work, are very careful about keeping things clean, and explain everything they're doing. I found them to be very fair and to work. Had them out for an HVAC issue. The tech was good but the prices are off the charts. I got charged $450 for the installation of a $25 capacitor and $250 for the tech to pour some water down the drain line to flush it. Give me a break! He also quoted me $550 to install a new PVC drain line. Come on! I can get PVC at Home Depot for $10. Basically this company marks everything up 400%. Please go elsewhere! read more

this company is full of scammers they came out to my house to perform services and got me to sign up for a membership after I signed up for the membership. The technician said I could quit the membership at any time. However, that is not the case they wanted to charge me more than the membership was worth as a buyout option which was $300 this is absurd. The technician that came out to my house lied to me about what's wrong and tacked on lots of additional parts when in reality all I needed was a high pressure sensor. They stated that it would be cheaper just to replace my six year old system. I do not recommend All Tech services. They are greedy, a joke, and treat their employees like they are nothing. My advice to anybody looking for HVAC repair. Do not call this company call someone like Michael and sons or a Cypress air cypress air, and Michael and sons are honest, upfront and professional. I can't say the same about All Tech. read more

I've used this business a couple of times. The first time was to have a faucet installed. The tech told me he wouldn't recommend doing it because I could do it cheaper myself. I appreciated his honesty but didn't want to take another day off of work so I paid for the overpriced faucet. The tech told me he was going to grab it out of his van then I watched him walk out to his van and sit in the drivers seat for 45 minutes. He came back in and said sorry for the wait. That was annoying as I had some plans later but it got fixed so I disregarded that my business wasn't valued. I have a condo that has to have the A/C unit inspected and the water heater annually. When speaking to Olivia about scheduling my appointment I informed her I needed a copy of the COI. She said that is pretty standard with condos and won't be a problem. Bryce arrived to do the inspection on AC he already seem agitated by his account of "dealing with northern VA drivers he was glad he didn't live up here anymore". As we were walking in he realized he forgot his mask in the van he looked at me who was wearing a mask and says "oh I forgot my mask do I need one" figuring I'm already vaccinated I said don't worry about it. He smiled an said glad to see we're like minded. I've called the company four times and have sent two emails showing them that the management company needs a copy of COI or I get fined. They continue to disregard my messages. Every time I call I get completely blow off. On 5/20/21 Danny told me the person I need to speak to was in a meeting that I would be transferred to their voicemail, and I should follow up with an email. I wasn't transferred just hung up on. Maybe this review will get someone's attention. read more

I've had these folks do a few projects around my house and they've always done a great job. The biggest job I've had them do is replace my AC/Furnace. They worked with me on price and the equipment I wanted for the house. They were very punctual and they tidied up after everything was done. They were very considerate of our kids and were kind of my son who wanted to watch everything they did. The price was a bit high but for this area I didn't find a better price from a company that was reputable. I would highly recommend this company if you want quality. If you want a good price you may have to negotiate. read more

I had been a Alltech Total Homecare Customer for almost 4 years, that ended today after a long decline. Over the last few yrs, service quality has steadily decreased and price gouging has steadily increased. Technician competence and service execution has also steadily declined. In those 4 years, What did I learn you ask ? 1. DO NOT sign into the Total homecare package, it is a leverage play. There techs have always attempted to upsell addl service or repairs every year when the "included annual inspection" was renewed. 2. Read the home warranty scope of work, and hold them accountable for all items they claim to provide (Hint, they will still try to sell you services for items listed as provided under the "Total Home Warranty package" like cleaning the HVAC blower) they tried this the last few years. 3. Always run the sanity check on any quoted service (especially if you are a Total Homecare Customer). The last 3 repairs I have relied upon there assessment, only to be quoted an obscene amount to repair. In all cases I have declined to have them continue, and have taken my business elsewhere for a fraction of there quoted price. Today was the last straw. I was quoted over 300$ to just remove a toilet to see if there was an issue. This is for work , I know to only take no more than 10 mins. A year ago I was suggested a service over 500$ to replace 2 hoses on my washer, again a 10 min item. This past winter I had an issue with our water heater, and was quoted a price 3x more than I expected. I called a local alternative, and got explained the suggested scope of work was unnecessary. The list within recent history goes on... But it was not always this way... I would have given them 5 of 5 stars 4 yrs ago. They were stellar, fair and ethical... This result is a change and reflection of there status to me today... In that time they lost my trust, my business, and I am sure they will loose more unless things change there. Sadly, I Cant recommend them anymore and would advise to stay away. read more

Used their services at a home I was previously renting. After moving and new home warranty ran out switched over to AllTech for HVAC maintenance and to double check some of my plumbing issues. Customer service is always good over the phone and in person with their techs. Techs all have been great and go the extra steps to log everything they see and do for future reference. This review encompasses my entire experience with this company. Updated Review - 02/12/23 Ending the five years I've subscribed to this company I return to my initial review of this company. Not sure why one really good plumber for a plumbing check made me change it. This is a predatory company. They used to change the filter of a whole house humidifier as part of the scheduled fall HVAC tune up, but the ever greeding owner, who frequently decides he can make more money by reducing the basic service and charge more for part of the service. When my HVAC was serviced back in November, the humidifier fliter was not changed. I wasn't home at the time and my husband didn't notice it.When I called I was told that now including the humidifier would cost and additional $173. After thinking about it I decided I needed it done and scheduled the service. I was told on the phone it would cost $173. The tech came today and told my husband it would be $273. In the past year at several scheduled appointments were cancelled because the tech scheduled was sick. This happened for the fall tune up twice and then another was cancelled because of snow. All of them took several weeks to get back on the schedule. I have severed my service agreement with this company. Updated review. 4/18/23 - very happy with the plumbing check today. I had a couple slow flowing faucets that the plumber cleaned out using a special key. I had been trying to clean the aeration filter since I got that faucet and couldn't figure out why I couldn't get to off. Now I know to make sure the All Tech plumbers that come to do the annual check do it. Old review-I was happy with them for the first year I had them. Then they came for the fall service check up and suddenly it's an additional $30 to change the humidifier pad which I supplied. It's not total home care as they advertise, it's total home care plus anything they can nickel and dime you for. Cancelling and not using them again. Update 11/20/19 - They still are ridiculous about the humidifier pad changing, they won't do it if you supply the pad. I understood why they wouldn't mess with the humidifier when they had a faulty valve that was under recall, but they replaced the valve and they still won't change the humidifier pad if you supply it. The pad has nothing to do with a potential leak in the humidifier. I've given them a couple more stars because they did respond quickly to a recent emergency call when we lost heat. However their initial response was that I would have to wait until the next day because they sent all of their technicians home, because of dangerous condition. I had to insist that since I'm paying a monthly fee to get priority service that telling me to go without heat for a day was crap and I had to threaten to cancel my service. There was two inches of slush on the ground and this is Virginia, where it snows pretty regularly, not Florida. I had no problem driving in it with a Prius so not sure why they are afraid their technicians can't drive. read more

When my furnace suddenly -- but after many, many years -- decided it had served us long enough, I contacted Home Depot to purchase a new one. I'm so thankful Home Depot's installation contractor in my area is AllTech Services. John Whaley came out to my home, and wow is he impressive! After quite a few calculations, both before and after he arrived at the house, he presented several options at various price points, including a detailed explanation of the pros and cons of each. No pressure, just solid information. As I was considering which way to go, I called John multiple times, plaguing him with a stream of questions. The man has the patience of a saint and is as pleasant as he is knowledgeable. He unquestionably had my best interests at heart. Installation went smoothly, with Gerson and Dillion doing a fine job. Overall, an excellent experience! read more

I recently had another company give me a second opinion on replacing my capacitor. I thought AllTech was too pricey and I wasn't sure I needed to replace it. The second company did a simple test and concluded it was still good. However after doing some research it turned out that AllTech actually did a better test and legitimately found that the capacitor is failing a bit, an 11% reduction, which suggests it should be replaced. My previous review suggested AllTech was being unethical is trying to replace a piece of equipment that was not bad. I would like to retract that. They performed the correct test and from what I researched, it should be replaced. I am now questioning the company who gave me a second opinion. Bottom line, I think AllTech is a bit pricey but they are professional and knowledgeable. read more

Friendly front desk gets everything off to a good start.... called based on yelp reviews when we realized our 13 year old air conditioner wasn't cooling. They were able to come out same day which was a plus and even worked around existing appointments we had that couldn't be changed. We found their text update system worked well so all good on getting things started. Our tech Tom Goldsmith was professional and knew what he was doing. First issue was chipmunks or mice who had taken up residence. Second and the big issue was loss of coolant. Because of the age of our unit Tom let us know that come 2020 we would be out of luck to get this unit serviced due to phase out of r-22. However we elected to do a injection of coolant to get us through this season and hopefully a touch longer.... time to save up for a new unit.... Loved that Tom was willing to take the time to chat technical stuff with Hubby. Also appreciated his thoughts going forward without dealing with a "sales" pitch. Throughly professional and will be thrilled to work with them again as we need to! read more

We had Jack Lewis visit our house and he pointed out some things that needed to be done for maintenance that should have been checked on before. Nothing was wrong, just wanted us to be prepared in case something did happen. Overall Jack did a fantastic job and I would be happy to have him work on my HVAC again. read more

I have used AllTech previously for plumbing repairs and have been satisfied. This last repair was to replace a shower/tub valve that would not fully close. I feel it was extremely expensive to replace. $1,940 billed. I never received an invoice on the work done. The replacement did require a drywall cut, thankfully not on the tub side, so the shower is still usable. Yes, I signed off on the estimate, but with the house water shut off and only turned on for showering with a family of five and two dogs I signed to get the work done. Four days later it was completed. The shower tub diverter valve is about $200, and knob and tub spigot was the cheapest one you could buy at Home Depot or Lowes. Yes, I signed off on the selection get the repair done. Oh yea. They also replaced a sink faucet, about 10 bucs. So about $300 in parts, and maybe two hours work, excluding smoke breaks. And four days without running water and nearly $2,000. I'll not be using AllTech for future plumbing work. read more

AllTech is good when it comes to service. They came out on a busy Saturday late in the day. Joey was knowledgable. Diagnosed the problem. Helped to implement a temporary fix. Part was ordered and Jack came on Monday at 11 AM to fix it. Problem is with the fees. Joey said that they charge a flat fee for their work which is an average of the time it takes to get a job done. He said it might take an hour or up to two to make the repair (replace induction motor on carrier heater). When Jack came, he finished the work in about 20 minutes. Which is good. But then the labor charge comes out to somewhere between $1000 and $2000 per hour. Maybe Jack is the best darn tech out there. But even if he took a full hour, I dont think the going rate for HVAC labor is $500/hour. I messaged to their customer service and they gave standard line 1) OEM part you could not have done it yourself 2) we came on saturday and repaired issue within 72 hours 3) technician was very experienced 4) 1 year warranty. All that is fine but a) it's not good business to leave a potential repeat customer feeling like they paid 2x or 3x on labor. b) not good to quote 1-2 hours of work and then do the project in 1/4 the time but still charge full amount. If I had an emergency I might call All tech again but I would definitely get multiple estimates to make sure i'm not getting fleeced. read more

I was a holder of the home care program and I have to say, that instead of getting a preferential treatment, you are falling on a second burner in my opinion. They rescheduled my appointment twice in one day and both times it was some kind of emergency. I feel like once you are a home care customer they don't have to try too hard for the business especially for the semiannual checkups, since they don't charge for them. Once you get the guys in and working, the service is good and I never had a problem with it. So for that reason the rating is 3 stars instead of 1. read more

We had an absolutely horrible experience with AllTech Services. We were encouraged to sign up for the Total Home Care Plan and were then immediately bombarded with calls for "free inspections". We had no issue with the initial HVAC inspection however the recent plumbing inspection is a totally different story. The individual sent to our home wasted 4 1/2 hours of our time doing the inspection. We later found that he is a fairly new employee recently out of training. Most of the time was a hard sell for items we do not need or want-- a water softener and replacement water heater. We do have 5 minor leaks which we knew about. Despite him hearing multiple times that we did not want a new water heater or water softener, he spent another approximate half hour in his truck putting together invoice/estimates which totaled ~$26K. When we repeated again that we did not want those items, he said he would call his manager and see if he could get a discount for us. I felt like we were in a used car dealership. The price for the 5 items we want repaired is also exorbitant even with the "member discount". Worst of all, we found after the inspection that one of our bathroom showers was not functioning. The knob to turn the water on in the shower spun and no water came out. We reported this and AllTech offered to send someone out to fix it. After this experience we do not trust them enough to come into our home again for plumbing. We did have an experienced professional come out to look at this issue and found that when AllTech took the knob off to do the inspection it was reassembled incorrectly leaving it non-functional. I am now wondering how many other issues we may have that we have not yet noticed. Bottom line, we wasted money on the Total Home Care Plan which we are locked into for a year, wasted 4 1/2 hours of our time for this "free inspection", and had to call a reputable plumber to find out why our shower was left not working. While AllTech may blame the employee I think this experience is instead a reflection of AllTech's business practices. read more

We had a slight accident with some PVC piping from the HVAC. Contacted AllTech on a Sunday and first thing Monday they were there and took care of the problem in under 30 minutes. Jason was the assigned tech. He was polite, efficient, had good social distancing skills, and completed the job on a very timely manner. Very very highly recommended for our business. We now have AC...very important in a TV studio. Thank you AllTech! read more

After having two different plumbers misdiagnose our plumbing issue following two sewage back ups, we contacted Alltech after our THIRD sewage backup. Instead of fixing the "clog", they found the root of the problem - what was causing the clog, finally! They excavated our yard, removed the culprit from our main line, replaced part of the line and put our yard back together very neatly. Mike Ayoub was great and friendly. It cost a pretty penny but after this repeated nightmare, I don't care!!! I highly recommend them. They know what they are doing and worth every penny for major plumbing issues. 5 stars without hesitation! read more

I recently moved and had an issue with my HVAC system. It was a more advanced Trane Tam7 that a different HVAC guy could not figure out. AllTech was able to get me in for an appointment within a day and their technician's knew what they were doing. They were on time and provide notice of when they are on the way. I felt the price was fair, will use them again read more

I had estimated done with them, they took my money and promissed me they will replaced my HVAC unit. I look over the contract and they switched with different unit brand after I told them the specific brand and model. They are so sneaky and they forced me to go with a cheap brand name so they can make money of me. They are not as reliable they say they are. I spend a week with out heat in 20 degree cold weather with two toddles. I wasted my money and time trying to hire supposedly a well know company. I definitely would NOT recomment them to do your HVAC system. read more

We decided to check with several companies to get quotes on replacing the entire unit and RES was one of the places we reached out. I find it exceedingly rare to find a professional team that provides both an amazing product line, reasonable pricing, and great customer service. RES went well above and beyond my expectations! From scheduling with Mary and Tra, to having their team come out for an estimate, for the temporary AC units to help us stay cool for the few days between the new unit would be installed (that literally saved my marriage), to having the team promptly here (who were all so fun and kind to work with), to finalizing my bill with Tra. WOW is all I can say. They did such a great job, and I am looking forward to continuing to work with them. If you find yourself in the same situation as we did, I HIGHLY recommend you connect with this team. Thank you again Tra, Mary, and the rest of the RES Team! Second Review: This team is so great. We had to update our boiler and they were so fast to come in and get an estimate and then so flexible about scheduling. And the service is always 1000% great. If anyone is on the fence about contacting RES, please do it! You will be left very happy working with anyone here. Shout out to David and Mary for this one! Third Review: I love this team: from scheduling, to the meeting, to getting the repairs, to the tips and even to payment. Mary was so quick to schedule the appointment, and both times William came over today and earlier this week to help us fix our very old boiler, he was kind and knowledgeable. He spent a amount of time making sure both my husband and I understood what was wrong and the fix. I feel very grateful to have this team to work with. I wish all my daily interactions were like this! Thank again William and Mary! 5+++ service like always! Fourth Review: Goodness, I love this team. They are so prompt, kind, and efficient. I genuinely feel like I am always being taken cared off with white glove service from start to finish, and always at a reasonable, market competitive price. Of very team I have ever worked with, RES is at the highest end. Always excellent experience.

Using it again recently created such a loud noise. I've watched a bunch of YouTube videos to fix it myself as I'm pretty handy. I replaced the shower head. I replaced the cartridge. No dice. This was no easy task, so I had to ask for pro help. As usual, I asked a bunch of repair services for quotes, and the prices and guarantees varied so much. Mega multiservice priced right in the middle. I decided to proceed with Mega Multiservice because their staff stopped by and pointed out where and what the problem might be. Other services just tried to send me high-priced quotes without actually seeing the problem. It was an easy choice for me. They even came with me to Home Depot and helped me pick the right shower heads and controls. I'd definitely pick them again. To set proper expectation, they are a mix between neighborhood handyman and a big professional company.
