Ilah Grile is 110 years old today! I became her pastor when I was only 23 years old. She always loved and supported Kimberley Sheets and I . She also was a babysitter to Matt and Josh.
As a very devout Christian her testimony is alive and well. Her service to the Sugar Grove church of the Nazarene has been amazing!
I was part of her Sunday School class . She lead that same class for well over 50…. Yes… 50 years. She also served as church treasurer and the books were perfect!
Thanks to Darlene Fields Nibarger I was able to talk to Ilah this afternoon. She said, “ come see me soon, bring Matt, you don’t get to talk to a 110 year old very often.”

I had a lady in our church that doed at 103. She had been on every continent and had gone around the world 7 times. Been on do many mission fields until her passed. Give this sweet lady a hug and tell her it's from a friend in Fl. Ya people don't live to be 110. Amazing

When my dad pastored at Sugar Grove church. She owned the IGA grocery store. Whenever we would walk down from the parsonage to get something for Mom or Dad, she would let us pick out some candy and gave it to us. What a wonderful servant of God. That was back in the early to mid 70’s. Thank you for posting. Happy Birthday from the Chapman boys.
