'Small number of customers' face Singtel connectivity issues, unrelated to previous day's network disruption

A day after an outage hit Singtel for more than nine hours, the telecommunications company reported that a small number of customers face network disruptions.
"A small number of customers may be experiencing connectivity issues today," Singtel wrote on Facebook at 11:30am on Mar. 17.

They clarified that the issues are unrelated to the previous day's incident, where over 5,800 reports of service outages were made as of 10:59am.
"Our engineers are working urgently on resolving the matter as quickly as possible," Singtel added, and apologised for the inconvenience caused.
Previous day's disruption
Technical issues caused a delay to services, and there was no evidence to suggest it was a cyber-related event, the company said at 3:28pm on Mar. 16, 2026.
Later, they updated at 8:55pm that all 4G and 5G mobile services had been fully restored, but some customers may still be experiencing issues.
Singtel encouraged them to try switching their device to airplane mode and back, or restart their phone a few times.
At 8:55am on Mar. 17, a user on Reddit that their 5G network was intermittent. Others commented that they were similarly having connection issues.

According to Downdetector, such reports had been rising from around 7am.
