Hi Lost Muncie. Its me. I am doing my first set of pics I have from Bill Barlage from the Pixie Diner in increments. I have like 20 more pics and dont want to just throw them out there all at one time. This is the Pixie starting in 1954-55. First pic -doesnt have the curb service on the right-nor the addition on the back. Left- 2nd pic has the curb service on the right, and the new addition on the back left. 3rd pic-the curb service is gone. ( Bill said he took it out because it didnt benefit him anymore-he lost too much money keeping it open) If you notice in the first two pics, the Pixie figure was on top the diner. The third pic-it was on a sign by the road.

By the way, I asked Bill why it was named the Pixie Diner (Jerry Harwick wanted to know). He said he and his wife Mary debated on what to call it, he said he didnt like Bill's Diner or Mary's Diner. He said his wife Mary, was making ceramic ashtrays in a craft class, that had a Pixie figure in the center and decided to call it the Pixie. He said he set those ash trays out on each table the night they opened the diner. They were all gone by the next morning-they were all stolen. So now you know why it was named the Pixie Diner.
