  • Pro:
    -Not as many mistakes

-Rachel Zegler saved, only good part of Snow White

-In The Lost Lands got a decent amount of noms

    -Smurfs acknowledged lol

    Cons:
-Gal Gadot Snubbed! Literally How! She was the frontrunner of that category!

-FNAF 2 REALLY underperformed with a lone sequel nom and in general a lot of big movies underperformed for....

    - Too Many $5 Bin Wal-Mart movies, wtf is Off The Grid, nobody is voting for that, Alarum also got in because they can't resist Stallone

-She Rides Shotgun Rob Yang nom, the film got an 80-90% on RT for critics AND audiences, Rob Yang doesn't have any controversis from what I can tell, did he just runover a head Razzie's dog and this was vengeance, who knows

-7 Dwarves Nominated TWICE! One for Combo which is fitting and prob winning, the other is Supporting Actor, maybe Lazy Dwarf wrote it in twice

    -No Flight Risk at all!

Writing my predictions soon, gonna be tough to pick #5 spot but guessing either Love Hurts or Star Trek: Section 31

  • @dragonsblood can you please post the full shortlist?

  • It's in the thread
    www.goldderby.com/topic/2026-razzies-predictions-part-2/page/2/

Also this list just updated with Preballots

  • While unlikely given how Write-Ins usually never work

Gadot I think could be saved by Write-Ins just because of how nothing of a category Supporting is

  • updated with preballots. i genuinely have no idea what to do with supporting actress now

  • Maybe a lot of the surprising omissions like Gal Gadot, Amy Schumer, Flight Risk, and Ella McCay could make it back in through write-ins? Other than that, it appears that considered contenders like Captain America: Brave New World, Minecraft, Jurassic World: Rebirth, HIM, and Amazon Prime films except for War of The Worlds are out of the race now. My guesses are that Thunderbolts*, Fantastic Four, and the Doomsday hype swept Brave New World under the rug, and maybe they didn’t personally consider Minecraft and Jurassic World: Rebirth to be that bad, similar to that Men in Black reboot being omitted in 2019. HIM was likely forgotten, or they purposely chose not to nominate a rising director in order to clean their image.

Although, I am surprised that FNAF 2 only managed a lone worst sequel nomination, considering its Morbius-level reception and Awards Season release. They should have at least also gone with Worst Screenplay to take a jab at the egotistical video game developer who was the sole writer.

  • Honestly, the absence of Gal Gadot from the ballots is very concerning. I've always thought of it as a silly little thing, but after this, I would seriously question supporting this organization in any way (even if voters do get her in as a write-in nomination).

  • @Léo i paid to be a razzie voter once a couple of years ago and did not renew my membership the next year (and i've changed cards since then, so they can't have been automatically charging me without me realising) but they still send me a ballot every year for some reason lol. i agree it's concerning, but don't think i'm supporting them just because i'm voting!

  • Best case scenario, I guess. Maybe your write-in will make a difference and send a middle finger to whoever decided to censure Gadot from the pre-ballot!

  • @Léo I think that the omission was an attempt at “neutrality” from The Razzies to address the criticisms of them being politically biased in determining nominations or to avoid accusations of antisemitism. However, unlike Mike Lindell or Michael D’Souza, Gal Gadot’s performance was unanimously considered one of the worst of Snow White 2025, and the move was a major release. Natalie Portman, another Israeli actress was also (unfairly) shortlisted. I haven’t seen Fountain of Youth yet, but I imagine that even a phoned-in performance by Portman (an Academy Award winner) is miles above anything that Gadot can do.

There were a lot of strange omissions in favour of obscure streaming films. I assume that they snubbed Minecraft and gave a lone nomination to FNAF 2 out of fear of fandom backlash, much like how Rise of Skywalker was snubbed in 2019. Brave New World was likely swept under the rug my Doomsday hype and to possibly avoid “validating” right-wing grifters. Rebirth was probably not that bad in the eyes of the event organisers, much like the Men in Black and Ghostbusters reboots. Although, no Flight Risk and Ella McCay is very suspicious. Hopefully, voters write-in Gadot, Flight Risk, Ella McCay, and anything else that was snubbed, because if they do not make it in, I will be very sceptical of the 47th season.

  • @Green_FE_Unit, Playing "neutral" is exactly the reason I was fearing because the Razzies are not really known for being apolitical, they've even awarded several prominent MAGA people before, including Trump himself. Treating a joyful genocide-supporter like Gadot as some sacred cow for no justifiable reason creeps me out even more. (Also, Portman, even though a liberal zionist, has at least come out against Netanyahu's govt violence against Palestinians, so not much of a comparison with Gadot in this sense)

  • @Léo I agree. I am not sure why bent the knee this year all of a sudden. Nominating Gadot wouldn’t even be for purely sociopolitical reasons, unlike Lindell and D’Souza, as her performance was objectively terrible from an artistic point of view. They also nominated fandom-heavy films in the past with Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, the Fifty Shades trilogy, Star Wars prequels, and Batman V. Superman. I am not sure why they are all of sudden scared of irony-poisoned Minecraft fans and rabid FNAF fans. At least Minecraft should have been acknowledged for that chicken jockey trend that encouraged disruptive behaviour and violence.

We only have a week left until the nominations are revealed, and I hope that some of these auspicious omissions are written in, because I will really begin to question how they determine nominees next season.

  • Razzies are in

Also Mercy came out flopping in case you were gonna go with 2027 predictions already lol

  • Razzies next week, any final predictions?

  • the gal gadot snub kinda made me stop caring ngl. i'd probably stick with everything i was predicting before (except swap gadot out for stallone)

  • Lmao fair enough

Gonna guess you're gonna wait on 2027 nom predictions for a bit or just not do them given it'll prob be The "Give everything to Melania" Awards next year

  • It's officially out and yeah, oops all AI Slop

Pure Pot calls the Kettle black moment when they're calling out Hollywood for bad effects when they're using AI Slop

Between all the stuff above and this vid, I don't plan to renew my membership with how bad things have gotten:
