So, I don't know what's been going on with my OLED, but it didn't boot into Hekate for the last few days until today.
I had the flashing green(?) light, twice, after the blue one on boot, then it would go straight into OFW.
This has happened to me before like a ton of times, but holding down volume would immediately fix it.
Now that's not working.
It did randomly boot into Hekate today, on three separate occasions, but I don't know what I did different.
Now it boots back into OFW.
Any suggestions on what could be wrong and how I could fix it?

I usually charge the switch while its inside a case, so the port is kind of at an angle and it might have loosen up the modchip, so I tried again to just move the usb port around while charging it and forced hekate with minus + power while moving around the port until I got the green light and then it worked. Will be careful in how I charge it now. Hope my esl brain made any sense and hope that works for you too.

I've been using twilightmenu + ndsforwarder on my n3ds and it's been working fine up until now where games just refuse to boot like 4 out of 5 times. It just gets stuck on the white screen and I have to go back to the menu and try again a few times until it finally goes through

That's the silver lining. Switch support is drying up way faster than 3DS in the same timeframe. Realistically the only first party games people will miss out on are Tomodachi Life and Rhythm Heaven, unless you REALLY care about NSO and Arcade Archives, which, RetroArch is there. For people on 20.5 or 21.0.2 there's 9 years of backlog to comfortably go through until someone who doesn't vibe code, goons to tranny porn or obsesses about Pokemon comes to the rescue with a new CFW, however long that takes if ever.

I have a 2DS with the original SD card which is only 4GB.
I have played through Ultra Moon on citra and wanted to transfer the save file to then use pokebank to transfer all the pokemon I caught to Home, but the game doesn't fit in the SD Card, so I cannot transfer it.
Is there a chance that Pokebank only requires the save file? if so, could I use the folder of ORAS and put the file there, or would I need specifically the UM folder to properly work?
I dont' know if anyone has the folder available to copy to my SD card to mimmick the install so Checkpoint recognises the game to restore.

changing SD cards for a 3DS should be as simple as formatting it correctly and just copying the files across, right? what do i do if the 3ds can't read from the new card? i ran health checks on it overnight and it's a good card, no issues, but the 3ds can't boot into cfw from it

i'm doing a bunch of microsd card shuffling around to use one in my new everdrive GBA pro and i wanted to ask: is there any way to transfer an android partition from one switch micro sd to a new one? it's not the end of the world if i need to reinstall it on the new card from scratch and copy over anything from the old one but i was wondering if it was possible at all

i figured it out. i was having trouble with guiformat being unable to write to the card, so i was formatting through windows (to exfat, the default) then formatting to fat32 with guiformat. what worked was formatting to ntfs then to fat32. i guess guiformat doesn't do its job properly coming from exfat > fat32. something to remember

Vitas and New 3DS have always been very overpriced, lately old 3DSs have increased in price as well so it's not looking good.

If you're not very picky you can still find old 3DSs or even 2DSs for a reasonable price in good condition, 3DS XLs are the ones that are getting very pricey as well. I'd recommend to be patient and wait for a nice deal

Late. In the last year or so, a bunch of normoids on youtube/instagram/tik tok made videos about how easy it is to hack the 3DS, which made a lot of other normoids rush to buy them.
Vitas are a bit weird, because they were always expensive because of the retard price Sony put on them, but every so often there are some alright deals for them.
There were some anons here that ended up importing 3DSes from Japan (or buying one during a trip there) due to being a bit cheaper, or around the same price but much better conserved.

After using my slim JB PS3 to emulate PS2 games, I'm no longer satisfied with it's graphical/compatibility issues. Which PS2 version should I pick up? On one hand the fat can use a HDD but I like the Slim's smaller profile. Both can use MX4SIO right, how's game performance with that?

Absolute fucking dogshit. I have 8 different PS2s. Don't waste your time with garbage. You want a 5000 series. A 3000 series if you somehow can't find a 5000. Everything else is not worth it. Don't buy the chinese dogshit SSD adapters. Get an official Sony network adapter and either mod it yourself for SATA support or buy it modded from ebay or some shit. After that you just install PSBBN and you're set. You can look at this website for all the different revisions. Especially if you wanna get a cool colorway from Japan.

My problem with PS2 is that it looks dogshit unless you have a CRT monitor/TV or use one of those expensive scalers. Or spend hundreds on an HDMI mod or do it yourself if you know how.
I personally just emulate my PS2 games now and use a CRT filter. It doesn't look as good as a real CRT but it's better than the other options.
