What I do on it is attack the middle gatehouse. After destroying the towers and gate, I leave the walls intact and clear them off with magic/monsters/missiles, and then push infantry and monsters through the gate and form a line just in front of the walls. Then get your missiles up on the walls and from there the enemy will feed the rest of their army into your infantry/monster line while getting shot from above

Even tho I was right next to him and held Lustira, he sailed across the entire fucking world to Cathay and took a settlement of Dechala somehow with his 1% life army, healed it and then came to raid in my territory where I park 4 armies.
Same nonsense happened a shitload in my Aislinn campaign. N'kari sent tons of stacks across the world from Ulthuan to Cathay where I had my 3 cities to attack me.

They can. While fighting malekith and morathi in my YinYin campaign I encountered one negro ark. From Lokhir I've seen 3 thus far and it's turn 150 or so.
Usually lokhir has 50 by now so something is different but they can.. they just often don't. Maybe because everyone got annoyed with their black ark spam so they reduced the likelihood of them making em.

Ranged infantry are massively overpowered in TWW so its no surprise that the faction with the best ranged infantry is also overpowered. Really their campaign mechanics are the main thing that prevents the Welves from enacting mass genocide on all non-forest dwellers and they still do sometimes. There's a reason Durthu being compared to Hitler was a common meme in these threads for years. Even "bad" ranged infantry like skavenslave slingers and Brettonian peasant bowmen are excellent because they're so cheap you can take out your enemies early-game simply through sheer quantity of ranged attacks to chip their better units down.

Does Skrolk have the worst Skaven start or something? I haven't played Skaven in ages but this is honestly the least fun the game has been for me in a long time
I'm squaring up against Gor-Rok with two catapults, a couple of plague monks and some trash early plague spells.
It's just miserable, fights suck regardless if you win or lose because they take ages and you spend most of it just cycling trash that break and rally 5 times every fight.

I found Clan Pestilens to be the least interesting of all the Skaven factions, and Lord Skrolk is kind of boring too. They're very bland at present. It's weird how underwhelming they are because they have the potential to be one of the most thematic of all Skaven campaigns.
I recently played a Clan Pestilens campaign in TWW2 where I ditched Lustria altogether and fucked off to the Southlands just to avoid having to deal with fucking Gor-Rok murdering anything and everything I threw at him. Actually turned out to be a fun campaign despite Clan Pestilens' blandness.

game gets a bit laggy with so many units on the field

anyways is there a way to prevent doorjams like this from happening
do I need to make my guys take a skinny formation and move them through one at a time or something, because I much prefer just shift-grouping all of my cavalry and rightclicking them all onto one dickhead in the back of the fort
didn't really mean much here but sometimes it's cost me a lot of damage from enemy ranged units getting free 5x overlapped shots

I've got a 12 stack of shaggoths on kholek, would've given him more but I didn't want to get rid of my awesome high rank chosen so he should be good for that stuff

and as for stacking them on archaon... I just like the horsies better

Thing is, when you fight ranged armies, your chosen either do absolutely nothing and mean your shaggoth take longer to kill and take more damage as you rush them into the artillery.. or you wait till the chosen arrive and then charge, making the enemy farm tons of balance of power by shredding your chosen with artillery and potentially damaging your shaggoth while they park afk.

total war should start doing collabs with things like lego, mcdonalds, walmart etc.

No.. not at all. Rot knights especially, kill on charge. They delete half the unit on charge, no matter what unit.. then melee begins, they all slash once, the rest of the unit is dead. Only takes 2.3 seconds to annihilate an entire unit.
Your horses ram in there, do nothing, then play stats vs stats. They don't have splash attacks. You got 60 units.. only 10 are engaged in combat at any time. They fight against maybe 20.. they get shat on.
Reason they get shat on, they can't splash attack for mega damage and can't drive deep enough to get all the units fighting.

Yes it does. If you deal 100dmg, but only hit 1 model cause no splash attacks, and that model has 10 hp, you dealt 10dmg. 90 goes to waste.
If you have splash attacks and can hit 2 models, you deal 20 and 80 goes to waste.
