Honestly, I think AI can code fine, but you gotta save the versions that works in a working version folder, and then use it to teach gemini it should study the working version to compare, also make helper functions that does parsing or casting of data.

I had the idea of writing my own emulator, and basically record something like a video recording of me playing a game, but is a savestate recording of ram memory, and then also link that to the pc position in the rom binary. Which i basically could rewind frame by frame like a 2d animation editor, but of savestates and data dumps, to basically manually tell the emulator a binary opcode block it's meaning with my own tag label, which are used to tag and map the binary of the rom.

It seems nobody has made a similar tool.

Congratulations to everyone who survived Friday 13th yesterday. I worked on UI and implemented buttons with hints that tell you when you're pressing the buttons wrong. Today I need to have a button do a few raycasts before it knows what to tell the player. Hopefully I'll do more but I never know.

Added 10 different play-style classes to choose from that have different abilities you can select from the main menu before you get into the game but keep in mind this menu has a lot of debug early prototype shit.

The idea is each soul playstyle class has 4 unique ability moves by pressing 4 different inputs. They can do and there 10 different classes. This will make a demon souls-like be a little more interesting than just souls combat alone with different playthroughs you can do with completely different abilities tied to your character and make co-op more interesting since you can do things your friends cant.
