The PhD regalia from Capgown is really great quality! The robe is thick and heavy and feels well put together. It's fairly comfortable to wear during long ceremonies. It also has two pockets. It's a great deal for the price. I have no regrets.

The regalia are fantastic. I was also impressed by the generous exchange policy. I was on the border between two tam sizes and the one I originally ordered was too large. I was able to exchange it for free, and CAPGOWN immediately sent me a new one along with a return shipping label. It couldn't have been simpler!

I started a new faculty position in the midst of the pandemic. As more people got vaccinated, it became clear that I needed to purchase my faculty regalia for in-person commencement. Many of the other vendors I found could not guarantee delivery in less than five weeks. But my commencement was only three weeks away. I received my regalia within three days of placing the order. It looks great and it cost less than those same vendors who could not deliver. I am very grateful and impressed.

I didn't match my friends who rented their regalia from the bookstore (UC Santa Barbara) - but I looked better, the material was much better quality, the fit was better because CapGown actually had the size I requested, I had pockets, and (most importantly) so many other people also got their regalia from CapGown that I didn't look out of place on stage. No complaints.

The value for the regalia can't be beaten. My only complaint was that I had quite a few loose threads - loops extended from the regalia, big enough to catch things. Pretty minor complaint overall.
