Renegade Pictures has sprouted home entertainment and theatrical film arms, rolling out in November a collector’s edition of Francis Coppola’s “Cotton Club” to include 30 minutes of additional footage.

Launched by Trimark co-founder Barry Barnholtz, producer-director Lorenzo Doumani (“Knock Out”) and exec producer Martin Barab (“The Dog of Flanders”), Renegade will distrib 12 titles a year on home video and DVD.

Also on board for November is the theatrical release of “Knock Out” onto 700 screens in top Latin markets. Pic follows a female boxer and stars Mexican thesps Eduardo Yanez, Tony Plana and Maria Conchita Alonso.

Coming down the pipe as well is a director’s cut homevid-DVD release of TV movie “Murder in New Hampshire” starring Helen Hunt.

Leading Renegade’s expanded operations is Barnholtz, who will oversee all the company’s acquisitions. Barab, also chairman of Woodbridge Films, will supervise the financing of the studio’s theatrical releases.

Marty Kaplan, most recently VP of PM Entertainment, will serve as chief of all Renegade’s homevid-DVD activities. Bob Wienstroer, formerly with Sony Home Video, has been tapped director of sales of home entertainment.
