What Now?
Thoughts on the murder of Charlie Kirk, and the need for a Reconstruction of the Left
But for that event, the future liberator of Rome might have been but a dreamer, a scholar, a poet, - the peaceful rival of Petrarch - a man of thoughts, not deeds. But from that time, all his faculties, energies, fancies, genius, became concentrated to a single point and patriotism, before a vision, leaped into the life and vigour of a passion lastingly kindled, stubbornly hardened, and awfully consecrated—by revenge!
Rome shall rise again from her ashes! Justice shall dethrone Oppression; men shall walk safe in their ancient Forum. There shall be a people once more in Rome!"
— Rienzi, the Last of the Roman Tribunes (1835 Novel), Bulwer Lytton
Some time ago I read of an interesting personal account of the final hours before the start of the Second World War from Paul Schmidt's Hitler's Interpreter, when the English ambassador to Germany Sir Neville Henderson appeared personally before Hitler and his cabinet to deliver the Polish ultimatum. If hostilities would not stop in 3 hours time, the British Empire would enter a state of war with the German nation. Hitler, reportedly, sat unmoved and emotionless. After some time, he turned to his left and remarked to Ribbentrop, still emotionless:
“What now?”
Today, I find myself (and indeed, many of us as one) in a similar situation. All of the cards are on the table, there is no more maneuvering or guessing. We know where they stand and what they believe. We know where we stand and what we believe. We know what will happen if we do not act. We know how they will react if we do. Following the assassination of Charlie Kirk and the fallout surrounding it, the only thing left to do is to act.
I did not expect myself to grieve as I did, not for someone I never met and had essentially no personal attachment to. As a matter of fact, I can recall each individual stage of grief from these last few days. When I first heard the news in a group chat, I figured people were poking fun, and I laughed at it. Then I saw that video — the images of which none of us will ever forget. I began bargaining, “He'll pull through, they put pressure on the wound and you couldn't see anything coming out as he was pulled away”. Once the inevitable was reported and confirmed by the President, I couldn't even feel sad. I was just too angry. This was a seething, cold rage I don't think I have ever experienced, and it lasted for days. My body became physically ill from it, I was mildly feverish, tired and baggy-eyed, and left with a pounding migraine. Eventually, I have come to accept it.
I have accepted that Charlie is gone, savagely murdered for the crime of hosting fun little debate rallies at college campuses. I have accepted that his family will have to see that video play in their heads forever, and grow old—Providence willing—without him. I have even accepted that, as we have all witnessed, half of this country gleefully celebrated this savagery without care or compromise. That is the real story which must be dealt with in the aftermath. Half of this country wants you, me, the President—every right-wing minded individual in this country—dead in a ditch along with their kids and family. Make no mistake that this is not their reaction to or rationalization of Charlie's murder, but the very thing that generated it in the first place.
If the celebration and incitement wasn't enough, we have also witnessed a mass campaign of agitprop and delusion. Didn't you know that Charlie's assassin, the gay flag-wearing guy who moved in with his transsexual furry boyfriend, the man who wrote “catch this, fascist” on a casing, is actually a groyper? Don't you know that Bella Ciao is actually a marching tune of the far right? Maybe I could handle half the country exclaiming that they want me dead, fine. But to see them lie about it and proclaim innocence the whole way through only further illustrates how fundamentally evil these people are.
The people celebrating this tragedy are not dispersed, mentally-ill vocal minorities that randomly peak in certain wavelengths of internet traffic. As the doxing campaign of potentially hundreds of thousands of individuals celebrating the murder has shown, these people are your neighbors. They're the teachers educating your children, the police and firefighters responding to your emergencies, the judges and lawyers of your local courts, the nurses and surgeons operating on your mother's heart, the officers commanding the armies of your nation, the Congressmen of your district, the pastors of your churches, the caretakers of your elderly parents, your bank tellers, your waitresses, and your bus drivers. And they all wish that you were dead. Therefore, I have accepted that there's nothing left to do but utterly crush the left as a political, cultural, and institutional force and that our freedom and survival depends on it.
Charlie was not some radical by any stretch of the imagination (as the idiots who smack their jowls about Israel and Mossad have been sure to remind us). His positions represented the very epicenter of contemporary American conservatism in the Trump era. He was a staunch advocate of immigration restrictions, against foreign wars and regime change, and grounded on a devoutly Christian worldview—all while expressing a sincere admiration for Israel, and welcoming of individual homosexuals & transsexuals (despite opposition to their lifestyle). It's difficult to overstate just how normal and average his views were, on top of that delivered with a cheerful smile and unquestionably noble character. They killed him for it. As plenty have pointed out already, what would these people think of you and I, with far more radical beliefs and nothing approaching the patience and good faith of Charlie?
And so we return to the question, with all of the cards on the table.
What now?
Firstly, I am very pleased to see the Trump administration's response to their best friend being slain by this expansive network of radical leftist terrorism. Marco Rubio has begun pulling the visas and deporting foreigners who celebrated the murder. Stephen Miller, recalling what he says is the last message Charlie gave him, vowed to “dismantle the radical left”. J.D. Vance gave an incredibly powerful and significant closing speech at the end of his hosting of the Charlie Kirk Show, stating:
Now, I have heard many calls in the last few days for unity and for healing in the wake of Charlie's assassination. You have no idea how desperately I want that. […]
[But] there is no unity with someone who lies about what Charlie Kirk said in order to excuse his murder. There was no unity with someone who harasses an innocent family the day after the father of that family lost a dear friend. There is no unity with people who celebrate Charlie Kirk's assassination. And there is no unity with people who fund these articles, pay salaries of terrorist sympathizers who argue Charlie Kirk, loving husband and father, deserved to be shot in the neck because he spoke words which they disagree.
—JD Vance, The Charlie Kirk Show (09/15/2025)
We have established the most important element. There can be no unity with these people, not yet. We had a guy who believed that good faith discussion could promote national unity, and they shot him in front of his children. (I read some reports that his daughter was scared by the sound and shouting, and instinctively tried to run to her father as he was carried off. Just meditate about that scene for a second. They want “unity” while celebrating that.)
For unity to at all be possible, the far left must first be utterly and completely destroyed. Its image must be so verbotten that we look back on this moment as a strange and absurd historical aberration in the same way we view Weimar Germany. Once this is achieved, once this insane ideological force that wages war on life itself is destroyed for good, then we can talk about unity.
I am not talking about a civil war or action of arms, of which people may think they want but in all seriousness do not—at least not yet. Such an action isn't necessary. Our people control every branch of the strongest Empire that the human race has ever bore witness to. We're not going to split it in half, we're going to use it. However, the American Civil War does give us a good historical example of what must be done: Reconstruction.
After the defeat of Confederate forces and subjugation of the Southern states under Federal rule, the question was asked: how could two sides that had just killed each other by the hundreds of thousands be a unified country again? The Republicans in Washington that had defeated my ancestors did not call for “toning it down”, “peace and understanding”, or “good faith dialogue”. No! They occupied the cities, burned down plantations, freed the slaves, toppled monuments, banned symbols, renamed streets, and barred secessionists from ever having institutional power again. The Southern states were put under direct military occupation and forced to adopt new constitutions that conformed to the ideological and moral victory that the Union had won, ensuring that the Southern affinity to slavery, secession, and rebellion never again saw the light of day.
The point of this example is not to present the idea to replicate Reconstruction onto blue states (or any sort of direct usage of it), but to illustrate the general strategic and operational approach that the American right, particularly the Trump administration, must take to win our nation and culture back: not only to avenge Charlie Kirk's murder and ensure this never happens again, but to properly unify the country once more. As the Vice President and others have pointed out, at the present, “unity” with these people is not only impossible but a senseless and damaging endeavor. You cannot unify or find common ground with people that want you dead, and attempting to do so is merely an act of appeasement which disarms and delays your protective abilities.
So here is what we ought to do, what we are going to do. Radical left wing ideology is going to be impossible to be held in the public, the common reaction to a sickle or trans flag will be identical to that of a blood red swastika. Colleges will be forced to clamp down on it among faculty and students or become insolvent, to the point that they just stop admitting far leftists altogether. NGO networks that fund and promote these ideological cells are being forcibly shut down, their leaders and funders put in jail under RICO charges. The media will stop broadcasting this ideology or lose their licenses. Throw in Netflix, Hollywood, and other similar enterprises in that category, too. Websites and platforms that nestle and support far left echo chambers—Bluesky, Reddit, Discord—remember what all of them did during COVID & BLM to ensure one viewpoint held dominance, at the gunpoint of the Biden admin? You haven't seen a thing yet. State education curricula are going to be rewritten and the teachers who don't stay in line are being thrown to the street.
You won't even be able to flip a burger at McDonald's while openly endorsing this ideology when we are done, much less enjoy the wealth and prestige of the highest levels of American society. Maybe, just maybe, after all of that the Democrat party will normalize back into the party of labor unions and environmentalism that it was before this hellish nightmare of an ideology was unleashed upon us, an ideology which seeks to stifle and annihilate life itself at every turn. And if this administration fails to do these things, it has failed to confront the challenge.
I don't want to “kill all leftists”—I have family wound up in this nonsense, don’t you? I want them converted. This is an ever-present, all-consuming prion that takes the most innocent of our children and warps them into death-obsessed monsters. All available evidence points to the notion that this is precisely what happened to Kirk's killer, hailing from a staunchly conservative family that simply lost him to more present forces. On that point, I'm sure Elon Musk doesn't want to kill his now transgender son, he just wants him back. God how I wish I could have some people I know back, just to have a normal country again! Don't you understand? Kirk was but one tragedy caught up by this ideology that has destroyed the lives of countless of our loved ones.
But we see now that “talking it out” will not do. The man who performed that job like no other was just killed in front of his family while doing it by the very people we wish to convert. That leaves us with limited options. The best of which, I believe, is an effort of Reconstruction. Many leftists will resist this, sure, but they will promptly be made an example of. What I am suggesting is no simple press of the button, it is in fact a generational struggle that will define the American people, and by consequence the entirety of the world, for years to come. But it is one we have no choice but to win. If we do not, far worse times will come, and our options will be limited to but one.
By the time this is over, we will have museums dedicated to displaying the utter insanity that devoured the first quarter of this 21st Century. Our grandchildren will tour this exhibit laughing at how silly all of it was in retrospect, in complete disbelief that it even happened. This ideology that set itself as a partisan against life, nature, and God himself… how unserious! When we forcibly took children from their fathers to castrate them, when we toured gay sex parades in our rotting cities, when criminals could be arrested 14 times before someone even thought to execute him, when we pursued the very thought of our own suicide as a people. They could look at the flags the enemy waved, mock the sullied names of the treasonous, and even buy a t-shirt at the end (Made in America) that reads “Never Again”. Perhaps such a museum, as others have suggested, could be named after Kirk.
This is what must be done. The legal, cultural, and institutional presence of this far-left religion must be excised and incinerated. There a number of ways to do it. Though this is an endeavor that will take more than 3 years, it is my hope that we, and this administration, possess both the intellect and the will to pull that off. The stakes are just too high, we have seen enough and don't want to see what lurks yet further. We WILL have a nation again, and there is but one thing in the way. Leftism in America, and indeed the whole of the West, must be Reconstructed.
As an aside, please keep the Kirk family at heart. Do you remember Lady Emma Hamilton, and her daughter Horatia? Who? Perhaps you know better the name Lord Admiral Nelson, their lover and father. After Nelson was felled at Trafalgar, the British nation entered a state of mourning for their national hero and protector. Nelson, in his will, had instructed the British people to care for his mistress and daughter. These wishes were ignored. Within years, she would find herself forgotten, alone, and in debt—forced to auction off her late lover's possessions. She would descend further into alcoholism and an opium addiction, dying at 49, just 5 months before Napoleon would return to France.
Not Erika or her and Charlie's children. Once we have our nation back, it will be one that honors their name and sees to their wellbeing in service to the legacy of their husband and father. If nothing else, if we accomplish anything at all, it should be this.
But we should promise to them, and indeed to our own families, that much more will be done than this. Now, enough talk, it is time to do, in what little ways each of us can. We can't be a free people like this.
No. This time, there will be NO Left or Right. Mere sanity. Time to move past this in order to crush both biotrash and weak tea conservatives for allowing this to get this far.
I 100% agree. While Jewish power and influence is real, it doesn't mean they are behind everything. I think we can apply Occam's razor to the Charlie Kirk assassination. And yes, we basically need McCarthyism 2.0. The radical left in it's current state have proven themselves unfit to live in a civilized society. And so they should lose the privileges that come with that. Anything less then this would be kicking the can down the road. The idealist in me says that unity in America could be possible if we were to somehow reverse the demographic disaster and crush the deranged leftist filth. It would nice to see a left that actually cares about working class Americans, and not criminal foreigners and trannies. But it may not be possible. We shall see.
