Our Care Visitation Team (CVT) volunteers provide a compassionate, loving, and healing presence in the lives of those they serve. Hear from St. Luker Lucille Ellson as she reflects on her meaningful connection with her CVT volunteer:
"I have enjoyed my time with my CVT, Julie. Julie started visiting me about 4 years ago and she made me feel at ease right from the beginning. It is difficult to explain how a great-grandma of 106 years and this young engineer with 2 teenage sons found common interests, but we have. During our visits, we pray together and then share stories about our families, our good experiences as well as our problems. We both come from families where our religion and our faith are just part of our daily lives. I accept that God works through people like Julie who has blessed me with her love, helpful ways, and fun times together including playing Mahjong! I'm so thankful for the Care Visitation Team and the friendship I've developed with Julie. The Care Visitation Team brings joy to people like me who have difficulty attending church in person."
