The lore of VALORANT and its storytelling is mostly told through the cinematics produced for the game, so it is heavily recommended to watch those to get a general grasp on the overall lore. Lore Terms

These are terms frequently used in the wiki and this summary (if i finish it lol)

BFL, YFL/FL, AFL
Before First Light, Year of First Light, After First Light. There is no set date for VALORANT, however it still uses the Gregorian calendar and is hinted to take place sometime in the near-future, perhaps around 2049-2053 at the earliest.

Kingdom Corporation & Kingdom Industries
Kingdom Corporation, or Kingdom Industries are two major companies that play a huge role in VALORANT's storyline. More explanation on their role will be below.

Radiants
Radiants are a small group of people who were affected by an event known as the First Light which resulted in them gaining hypernatural abilities. Known Radiant agents would be Astra, Fade, Jett, Neon, Omen, Phoenix, Reyna, Sage, Skye, Yoru & Harbor*.

*Harbor's Radiance is a rather disputed topic as it is sourced from technology and not natural Radiance like other Radiant agents.

Radianite
Radianite is a semi-unknown substance that fuels the global economy. Radianite is a rather controversial topic, as it was initially deemed a safe source of energy, but later on it was discovered that longtime exposure to radianite would result in unusual amounts of strength, and in some cases would inflict supernatural abilities on people, who became known as Radiants.

Alpha & Omega Earths
Inside the lore of VALORANT, there are two Earth's. Alpha is known as the primary Earth in the lore, and Omega is known as the secondary Earth. More on this below.
