Unfortunately, I couldn't find a straight upgrade of the current on California Collapse. Suggesting this from The Infinity Gauntlet (did some upsizing of the word panels so they'd be legible at wiki size):

I can't make out that this is California per se. In the current, the map is at least recognizable.

The text does say it's the entire west coast of the USA which is a bit broader than the trope description but would count under Administrivia.Tropes Are Flexible.

Still if we could find something more visually obvious as California I'd not be against it. Or leaving it as we can Special Cases some under sized pics if need be.

Well the text does say that, but the image does not. That's why I prefer the current.

And Yeah, it's not really legible.

Hang on...I took a chance on running the current pic through the AI upsizer I normally use (haven't had luck with large upsizes to date) and it turned out surprisingly good.

If this looks good to others, then I'll just run with it.
