Game engines
- Main article: Game engine recreations and source ports
This is a list of known game engines.
Before diving in
[edit | edit source]- ScummVM does get referenced on this page because it's the main active engine recreation project (there's almost no other project like it)
- This page is not limited to the ScummVM project, while they have allowed some non-adventure games to be added like RPGs & strategy games, other projects are needed for engines they most likely won't accept.
- Engines with historical significance are highlighted in yellow.
Notable games
[edit | edit source]These are some notable games, the engines these games run on were never used in another game. Games that have historic significance, such as being a classic or a notable part of video game history, will be highlighted.
