LTA awards S$36.6 million to Tritech for construction supervision on MRT projects

SINGAPORE - Tritech Consultants, a unit of engineering company Tritech Group, has been awarded a S$36.6 million contract by the Land Transport Authority.
The contract covers construction supervision and review services for Xilin MRT Station on the proposed East Coast Section the Thomson East Coast Line (TEL), as well as new infrastructure attached to the existing Tanah Merah MRT Station.
The proposed East Coast Section of the TEL is a fully underground four-car MRT system with a route length of approximately 13km, comprising 10 stations and a depot. It runs along the eastern corridor from Tanjong Rhu to Xilin via Katong, Marine Parade, Siglap and Bedok South.
The contract commenced on June 7 and is expected to be completed on Feb 28, 2024 for Xilin Station and and Dec 30, 2024 for Tanah Merah Station.
The contract is not expected to have any material impact on the company's earnings for the current financial year ending Mar 31, 2017, it said in an exchange filing on Thursday.
