Romanian Battlegroup Getica is a group of Romanian-speaking combatants fighting the illegal aggression of the Russian Federation, with the primary objective of stopping the invasion and restoring Ukraine's state borders as of 1991.
We believe the Russian Federation represents an existential threat not only to our Ukrainian neighbors, but also to our brothers in the Republic of Moldova and to Romania's state borders.
Our values are rooted in peace, understanding between our neighboring peoples, and mutual support — values we uphold through firm and unequivocal actions.
Romanian Battlegroup "Getica" is a symbolic group and does not represent an official structure. We operate within a structure affiliated with Ukraine's Defence Intelligence Directorate (GUR).
Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, Reconnaissance — using unmanned aerial vehicles, both commercial and military, we gather intelligence on enemy forces and assist other battlefield elements by identifying and validating potential enemy targets.
We conduct missions involving military intelligence elements such as SIGINT, IMINT, and HUMINT. We analyze the frequency spectrum in the theater of hostilities and continuously assess the enemy's electronic warfare capabilities.
We conduct reconnaissance missions with incursions as close to enemy lines as possible, aiming to obtain up-to-date intelligence on combat positions, fighting techniques, troop strength, and other sensitive information about enemy forces.
"Getica" welcomes any Romanian speaker who understands our cause, shares our principles, and understands the dangers of direct participation in hostilities.
Prior military experience is an advantage, but not mandatory.
The application process is conducted through our Telegram bot. The bot will guide you through a quick 3-step eligibility check (age, availability, password), after which you will receive a secure link to the application form on our website.

To prevent automated applications and malicious activity, access to the application form requires a password. You can obtain it by contacting us via a private message on our public Telegram group (Romanian Battlegroup Getica) or on our Facebook page (from a valid account with activity).

Romanian Battlegroup "Getica" does not currently accept donations. If we determine that we have financial needs we cannot cover, we will organize a donation campaign and announce it through our official communication channels.
