And if you’re planning a road trip, just about anything is possible depending on the destination and time targets. Check out the myChevrolet Mobile (2) to plan your route.

Regen on

This feature allows you to manually slow down your vehicle and converts some of the energy from your EV’s movement directly to the battery.

Cabin preconditioning

When you heat or cool your vehicle prior to driving, it draws energy from the charging outlet rather than your battery.

Relaxed driving

Smooth driving and gentle acceleration help optimize battery range.

Watching the weather

Extreme temperatures, both hot and cold, can affect the battery. For ideal performance, it’s best to avoid parking outdoors – aim to keep your EV in a garage or in covered areas if possible.

Battery health tips

When living an all-electric life, the overall health of your electric vehicle’s battery should always be top of mind. To help with that, here are a few easy things to remember:

  • Charging your battery to 80% for daily use helps promote battery health and optimal regenerative braking performance
  • For longer trips, you can adjust your charge above 80% for extended range
  • Since DC Fast Charging slows down as the battery fills up, charging beyond 80% isn't recommended
  • Keep the vehicle plugged in when possible to condition the battery for optimal performance
