Hi everyone, it’s Phil here - host of @socalbobarunclub
A few days ago my good friend @mmmmichaeltu announced that after serving the SGV community for 9 years and 11 months, he will be permanently closing @bubblerepublicla on March 15, 2026. Business has been slow with the boba world being as competitive as it’s ever been, and on top of that he’s about to welcome his second baby into the world.
While we are genuinely sad about this and will dearly miss Bubble Republic, we want to help end things with a blast and celebrate the role Bubble Republic and Michael have played in the SGV community for nearly a decade. 🧋❤️
Although Michael told me that “he doesn’t want me to go through all the trouble of organizing something without getting something in return,” moments like this are exactly what @socalbobarunclub was built for. Bubble Republic was our very first event partner 7 months ago, and we owe them so much for being the start of the amazing community you all have been a part of.
We would like to announce that we are hosting a:
🧋 GOODBYE BUBBLE REPUBLIC PARTY 🧋
🗓 Wednesday 3/11 ⏰ 7–10 PM 📍 @bubblerepublicla
What we’ll have:
🀄 15 mahjong tables of open play 📝 Posters to sign & leave messages for Bubble Republic ✨ And as always - immaculate vibes for the community to hang out and socialize
This event will be completely FREE admission.
All we ask is that you buy food and drinks in store to send them off in the best way possible. 🧋
