Sales haven’t been good at all. To make things worse (in a good way), my 2nd baby is coming in hot in April.
As some of you regulars should know, I’m at the shop 7 days a week and up to 10-12 hours/day. There’s definitely no way I be able to handle both the shop and family together at the same time. A sacrifice has to be made on my side.
Hereby announcing the date that we will be permanently closed. March 15th, 2026.
I really wanted to keep running the business. I wanted to, one day, tell my kids that this is where I met your mother, where I proposed to your mother and where them two are going to be working for free. lol.
It has been great with most of you and that’s what making the closure of the business so stressful.
Bubble Republic may not be around anymore, but I’ll still be around the area, looking for a job, working for someone.
If I can be of help for anyone, for anything, I’m here, @mmmmichaeltu , since this page be going into quiet mode after.
Another business will be taking over. They have got boba and chicken as well. The owner is nice but of course, not as good as me. 😉 😂

So ummm … I hear there’s a new law that says something about selling food from your home is allowed now. So I’m thinking you give all of us your address and we pull up for dem salted yolk goodies? 😂

congrats on 9 successful years, michael! wishing you well on your next journey :) bubble republic has been with me through so many chapters of my life. from my high school drumline hangout spot to my college study spot, to studying for the GRE at the same desks where i once studied for my SATs, and eventually becoming my go-to wfh destination whenever i’m back in the 626. thank you for all the memories and for building a place i grew up with :’)

BR is such a special place to me. It’s where I went from being an employee to a regular hanging out all the time. It’s where boss turned into a good friend. It’s where I shared so many laughs with friends and family. Shout out to BR BOSS Michael, for running BR with so much heart and care. I’m truly grateful for everything🫶🫶🫶

Sad to see a staple of the SGV go. I loved going there to study, chill, get my boba and some wonton soup. Best wishes to you and your family.
