Why Is Alexa+ So Bad?

Lol.I agree. The new Alexa is a pc of sh+$ crap. I've had the old version for a while and it had become somewhat useful. But the new one is simply a pain in the ass. I got so upset arguing with it about music selections and recipes that I just unplugged it. As a clock it keeps time well but you would think that Amazon could do much much better. Don't waste ur money. Wait till they get it right.

It's Generative AI/Large Language Model based.. of course it's crap. It's being used for things it isn't good at doing and it shows. It's not good at searches, it's not good at giving you good reliable information, it's good at written learning language and spitting out a new combination of words based on words you have already given it. And that's it. I also find it hilariously bad that now when I get a Weather alert, it shows up on my phone but when I hit it, rather than just giving me the alert that it showed, it has to ask AI what the alert is... 🙄🙄

I didn't know I could revert to the original version. I've considered throwing my Echo in the trash. It can't even play a song from my Amazon Music, correctly, but days it did. I argue with it all the time. I can't listen to my Audible books like before. I point out mistakes and it admits it, then still can't execute the command. It's giving me high blood pressure. Amazon needs to get it together!
