To address the recent concerns about AtlasOS' security, and what we're doing to improve.

reduce latency with AtlasOS

AtlasOS is a Windows modification designed with the esports player in mind. minimizing micro stutters, reducing latency and improving framerate. there are already so many pro players using it to their advantage, so why aren't you?

wow, we just surpassed over 1,100 commits in v0.3 compared to v0.2. with 11,776 additions and 8,855 deletions. this update is going to be insanity.

security updates aren't removed, there's just currently no way to "get new ones" as for mitigations, you are prompted to enable or disable them in AME Wizard and you can disable or enable them while in atlas windows updates are disabled, as it reverts optimizations made by us.

Therefore, for the next release, you should be able to configure Atlas to be as secure as you'd like, potentially even more secure that stock Windows in some areas.

guys I just reinstalled Atlas, but I kept all my programs, files, data. AND… I didn't use a USB stick. I escaped the matrix!!

For this reason, in future versions of Atlas, it is now a priority to give the users warnings about disabling security features and having features like Windows Update and Defender optional.

wouldn't it be cool if you could just press "update Atlas", and it would just work? uhm.
