If you're going on utility....well I'm no expert, but Flareon was never any good and Fire is mostly redundant with Ice. But if it's just for fun, well, I can't pick your least favorite Eeveelution. Raise seven and put one on standby if you don't want to choose.
It Just Bugs MeLeafeon has more survival power than Flareon, and a better movepool at that.
Jolteon could easily counterkill with Hidden Power or pass Substitutes at high speed, Cursebreon could power up and become a real pain backed with Toxic or Mean Look to stop Perish Song from being abused, that sort of thing.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!I guess you could map it out by specialty. You want Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Espeon. That's one defensive/cleric Pokémon and two special attackers. You lack a physical attacker, and Leafeon fits that role best. So what's left? Glaceon if you'd like yet another special attacker; Flareon if you want a second physical attacker; Umbreon if you want to stack on defenses (but defensive Pokémon are harder to play on an in-game team).
It Just Bugs MeFlareon keeps getting screwed generation after generation. Really it's a curse on all fire-types - they get this great Attack stat and no good physical moves, plus a really thin movepool overall.
It Just Bugs MeHo-oh looks to have avoided the Fire Curse with the almighty Sacred Fire, and Ninetails has a cool movepool with Flamethrower, Energy Ball, Dark Pulse, Nasty Plot, Extrasensory, Hypnosis, Quick attack, and Confuse Ray, among maybe a few other moves.
The thing is that Fire is the best offensive typing, but also one of the worst defensive typings, which is not helped by the domination of Water-types.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Yeah, actually I guess fire-types are starting to get better...Infernape's nasty too and Moltres finally doesn't suck (I knew the chicken was good for something!). Entei is still worse than most normal Pokémon though.
It Just Bugs MeHmmmm. Without Flareon, you're pretty much stuck with HP Fighting to try and get a super effective hit on Steel types, right? And that's only if it isn't one of many Steel/Psychics...
If I was making the decisions, I would definitely keep Leafeon. It might not be as useful, but it's one of the most beautiful Pokemon ever. Just look at it in some 3D battles on Youtube! Man!
Not sure whom I'd drop. I never really cared for Jolteon, though...
Isn't HP Fire the preferred Hidden Power for Espy?
Edit: Houndoom is fucking awesome. The pain from its flames never goes away, according the the Pokédex, which is badass. And Houndoom was always at least on the cusp of usability, which was more than Entei or Magcargo could say.

It Just Bugs Me
Yeah, basically just a thread to talk about anything relating the the pokemon games.
First off, my dilemma. I love the Eevee evolution tree to pieces, and ever since Gen I I've always had an Eevelution on my team. Now that it is Gen IV there are finally enough Eevelutions to pick from to make a viable team, but unfortunately there is one too many. If I were to try to make a team only out of Eevelutions, which one should I drop?
in before eevee team not optimal. I don't care, I just want to have fun.
