Export iMessage conversation

Hello- I am trying to export all my text messages between one person to either email, pdf, or some kind of word document? I have researched and only found to go within the message tap until the circles show up on the side to select and then copy paste to email. I’m trying to get all messages selected within the app. Also, I do not have a Mac anymore so I can’t transfer to there. Thanks

You will need to purchase a 3rd party software like touch copy or imazing.

I’m aware of no export.

Easiest alternative for archiving:

Open iMessage, scroll to the top of the conversation, activate screen recording, and then scroll the conversation.

Here is: How to record the screen - Apple Support

For smaller sequences, screenshots work.

Ok. I did see that when I googled. Just was hoping I could try w/o buying software. Do you know if I could find them in the iCloud if they are backed up?

Well you'll need to buy that software to do what you want.

IF there was another option I would've stated it.

Thank you. I did see this option. It’s a years worth of text messages so not sure how long it will go. But, I can try. Thanks

How long does it take to scroll through the conversation? That’s how long this will take. The video can be paused or reversed during playback too, so long as you don’t speed-scroll through the messages so fast that some of the messages can’t be captured.

This seems like a very Basic thing that almost ALL iPhone users would want and/or need to be able to do. Why is this no easier and built in? Does apple make more money from developers paying license fees?

The ”why?” questions are questions best left for Apple.
