I’ve heard this rumor spreading, and while I have no idea if it’s true, I wouldn’t ignore it, because “this guy recently dealt coke to the elite insider class” feels like a substantial general election vulnerability that, for obvious reasons, his enemies in the elite insider class might be aware of

Cannot emphasize enough that I have heard from someone who was there that Platner used to sell them coke at the Tune Inn when he worked there as a bartender and they were at the White House.
I mean, this is a world that’s pretty unfamiliar to me, so someone clue me in: would someone who bought drugs ever betray anyone who sold them drugs for personal gain? If so definitely could be a time bomb here

Probably not. Also a lot of people in Maine (as in the rest of the country) abuse drugs, so I’m not sure what impact the allegations would have.
I dunno, it’s tough, but I bet Sue Collins might be able to find SOME hook in the “White House coke dealer” narrative to turn it into a decent attack
