People Playground (stylized as people playground) is a 2019 indie sandbox game, developed by Mestiez and released by Studio Minus.[1][2][3] It was released on Steam on July 23, 2019.[1]
Gameplay
[edit]People Playground features detailed humanoid ragdolls that you can "shoot, stab, burn, poison, tear, vaporise or crush". Every object in the game has its own physical properties and the game simulates temperature, heat transfer, electricity and rigid body dynamics.[1]
The game also features a Steam Workshop where users can share mods and contraptions to enhance their gameplay.[1]
Reception
[edit]As of February 28, 2026, People Playground has over 4,000,000 players worldwide.[4][5]
People Playground has been highly praised by the sandbox community. It has an 8.4 user score on Metacritic and 98% of Steam reviews are Overwhelmingly Positive.[6][1] However, People Playground has been critiqued for its excessive violence and gore that may be unsuitable for some users.[7][1]
