Thank you so much, that’s really encouraging to hear, especially since I’ve been gone from it for so long! The story means a lot to me and I really want to get back to it soon! 

I’m currently getting some medication adjusted and trying to get my head on straight, which is the reason for my extended hiatus. I put a lot of love into Ch. 4 and since it reveals quite a bit of plot twists, I want it to be just right. I hope to make it worth everyone’s wait!Honestly, thanks to all my readers for their incredible patience and encouragement!

So unfortunately, I’ve got a nasty pile up of vet, psychiatric, and prescription bills, a parking ticket, and rent and bills are due soon. Seeing as I make minimum wage and am constantly broke, I’m in a bit of a tight spot.

To try and raise some money, I’m opening up divination readings! I do rune casts, which are comparable to tarot card readings. The logistics of the reading (question type, question phrasing, spread type, etc.) are entirely up to you.  If you have a particular spread/format you’d like me to use, I’d be happy to do that. Otherwise, we can work together and I will help you tailor your reading or use my best judgement based on my own practice.

Pricing is based on how many rune stones I use (comparable to the amount of tarot cards one would pull) and payment will go through paypal. Choose your stone count by question complexity; the more stones, the more runes I read, the more detailed your answer will be. If you’re unsure about how many would best suit your question, I can give you recommendations based on the question itself.

To Crown a King

A snippet of a story (temp title) I worked on late last year. I’ve had it plotted out for awhile, but haven’t sat down to actually write more than a scene here and a scene there, none of it connecting. Here’s a small sample for anyone who is interested!

The summer stretches out endlessly against the dry fields with only the occasional unsatisfying, hot breeze from the Aradonian desert to the east.  It is under this sun that I toil, beads of sweat rolling down my forehead as I let another arrow fly, missing my mark by a few inches. It lies scattered amongst several other feathered tips, but not a single one has found its bull’s eye.

oh so human, "wolf," and "dog" are separate species (I thought wolf and dog were the same....). But wouldn't that make the "wolf" and "dog" a therianthrope type species then?

Sorry if I am misunderstanding, since I’m not too familiar with the term therianthrope! 

Wolves cannot shapeshift. They are intelligent as humans are and live in their own (but still wild) societies/packs outside of the wall. They are not a therianthrope species as they have no relation to humans whatsoever. 

Dogs split off from wolves entirely to side with humans, which grants them their human forms via domestication. Therianthrope is a term that more closely relates to the dog shapeshifters in the webcomic, though to make a particular distinction, they are dogs that shapeshift into humans, not the other way around. They are not a traditional werewolf in that sense.

Gave a little bit of extra information! I know the world building in Until the Last Dog Dies is a bit on the slower side because I wanted to avoid exposition and have it revealed naturally through Cage’s interaction with a world he already knows thoroughly. 

This answers a bit more than your question and will be revealed throughout the comic, but here’s a bit of a laydown between the three races in the comic. The differentiation with lap dogs, work dogs and street dogs will also be clarified.

Another update!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news in regards to comic and general life stuff, but my laptop has broken twice now. I’ve been out of a working computer for about a month trying to get it repaired before deciding that it needs to be replaced. I should have the situation finally resolved sometime late next week, as well as a check up at the doctor’s to see if I have an okay to start drawing again. 

However, this means I have yet to even start on Ch. 4. Unfortunately that means that I will have to take the rest of the year to build a buffer and finish refining the chapter. 

Thank you so much for your patience and I am sorry for all the unexpected delays on this hiatus.

Quick update! Medical procedure went well and everything but after doing a draw test and going a bit overboard, I’ve found that I irritated a muscle near my surgery site. I had hoped to use this downtime to catch up on my page buffer, but unfortunately I may not get to any pages until December. I will be spending the time refining the chapter and maybe even turning in some novel writing for November. Thanks for your patience!

Sorry for the delay in response, it honestly took me forever to figure out how to reply to a comment on tumblr! That’s incredibly sweet of you to say and it was such a bright spot in my day, I must have read it three or more times! I’m self taught so it’s a lot of stumbling around, but I try to grow every day and to be proud of my accomplishments. I am so grateful whenever I hear people resonate with my comics, it means so much to me! Thank you! <3

“Here’s a glass of whatever.”

Emelius stared down at the glass, certain that he wasn’t going to drink it now, especially not with the description of “whatever” seeming to be sufficient. He gave a quick nod and pretended to be appreciative until the waiter turned to his next customer. It wasn’t as if there was going to be anything good here, though he desperately wanted to wet his lips with something alcoholic. Dogs hadn’t been allowed to drink for three years now, and he wasn’t sure what he should have expected at a human owned dance club for dogs of the lower echelon,

“Emelius Leblanc, you son of a bitch.”

He felt his eye twitch at the statement as he turned to face the pianist of the Chien Rouge, December Grey, who tilted his hat at him.

“Clever and cute. Please… don’t. Just… don’t for five minutes, December. You’ve been hanging out with Cage too much.”

Prompting youuu! “killed him? wait, what, literally?”

“Killed him? Wait, what, literally?”

Cage squinted up from where he had been sitting on the porch, legs sprawled over the stairs. He had considered not entertaining the question with a response, but after a moment’s thought, decided a statement so stupid could not have been left unanswered either.

“Of course literally, how the hell else would I mean that phrase? Have you never seen a dog fight, or something?”

Normally such a chastisement would have left Emelius red in the face from anger not from embarrassment, but whenever he was around Cage, it was like a constant reminder of his own ignorance as a dog. It was impossible not to feel so utterly exposed around the first person in Emelius’ life who wore his emotions on his sleeve and said exactly what he was thinking. It was relieving, just as it was terrifying.

“Not… Not exactly, at least, not the kind you are describing,” Emelius said, clearing his throat as he tried to regain his composure. “Fights in the slums may be a fight to the death, but it is not common practice to kill purebred dogs unless neither master is willing to back down. They’re too–”

I am really sorry to admit that I will be taking a hiatus again on Until the Last Dog Dies after the end of chapter three. I need some time to recharge! 

I’ve had a bit of an emotional ups and downs while working under an insurance that would not allow me to get my physical or mental health taken care of. I finally changed my insurance but am currently under the process of getting rediagnosed and papers processed for everything I’ve already done under my old insurance. 

Now that the ball is finally rolling, I realized a hiatus was necessary. I am finally going to be having surgery and will be able to see a psychiatrist and therapist consistently for the first time in since college. 

It was a very difficult decision for me to decide to go on hiatus. I know I have already gone on two long ones and I wanted to get further into this comic before the end of the year. However, I realize it is for the best for me and for the best of this comic that I take a break and give myself time to physically and mentally recover. 

I will still be producing art! I do have a few things I’d like to work on in the meantime. Until then, thanks again for your continual support. You have only been so kind and patient with me and very encouraging of my work, and it means the world to me.

Hey, creators of LGBTQ webcomics...

Anyone else want to give me permission to make a post which uses sample pages from their webcomic to promote it?

They’re basically like this and this and this. I think these kinds of posts look good aesthetically and tend to catch attention better than simpler ones, but I don’t feel it’s appropriate for me to post whole pages from someone’s comic without their permission.

For the posts, I choose a handful of comic pages (or sometimes only one or two) that I think will best entice readers to click through and read the rest of the comic. I include the comic’s summary, links to where the comic can be read, and links to places people can buy merch or support through Patreon where applicable.

I can usually find everything I need on my own so all you need to do is give me permission if you like, but I’m also happy to take input from you if you want anything different or specific in your post (or for you to make the post yourself and send it in).

Send me an ask (not anon), a PM, or reply to this post if you’d like to give me permission to make a post promoting your LGBTQ webcomic which includes sample pages from your comic.

Secondly, I was wondering about the OoT AU that you drew -- the story you wrote for it: did you ever post it anywhere? I am immensely intrigued and would love to read it. Hi! Sorry for the delay in responding to this, as I was busy preparing for a con this weekend. First of all, thank you for that compliment! I did not ever post this OoT AU anywhere and I doubt that I ever will. The AU in particular follows the path of Link losing to Ganondorf in OoT, but convincing Ganon that the only way that Hylians and Gerudo alike would accept him as king is if Link were at his side and convinced them to do so. He does this in exchange for Ganondorf vowing to restore and protect Hyrule and its people as a true king would. It takes place five years into Ganondorf’s second reign (after the end of OoT), when Ganondorf is accepted as king and will be re-coronated. Link has long since lost the connection to the goddesses and questions his betrayal and what it means to truly be a “hero”. Zelda is currently hiding out amongst Sheikah rebels to retake the throne.

Link had memorized the sounds of thosefootsteps. Ganondorf walked, if nothing else, exactly like a king. Loud andimposing, they were completely unlike Link’s, who had learned how to tiptoe hisway through dungeons and up the steps of Ganondorf’s castles, trying to beevasive. The Gerudo King did no such thing. Link wondered if he was aware ofhow loud he was. Still, the Hero of Time turned to acknowledge him with theslightest of nod before opening the room to his own chambers, his soggy tunicbundled in his arms.

“I used my free time and did what Iwanted. I went for a swim,” Link said simply before Ganondorf could ask, thoughthe idea was a tad preposterous. Lake Hylia was a five hours ride from HyruleCastle. The only other explanation was to take an arduous journey to visit theZora for a mere “swim,” though visiting another kingdom should have been news told to Ganondorf himself prior to, especiallyif Link was acting as his ambassador and right hand man.
