John Textor Loses Key UK Ruling in $93 Million Clash With Iconic
Iconic Sports scored a legal victory in its attempt to claw back $93.6 million from embattled football club owner John Textor as a London judge rejected the tycoon’s move to block the claim.
The UK’s high court handed an initial ruling in favor of Iconic Sports, which is backed by hedge fund boss Jamie Dinan and ex-banker Alexander Knaster and hedge fund manager Edward Eisler. Iconic sued Textor in the UK alleging he failed to honor a put-option deal to buy the investing firm’s shares in former Crystal Palace owner Eagle Football Holdings.
