On February 13, 1916, Marietta Haona Luke was born.
———
On August 19, 2024, Tūtū passed away as Marietta Haona Luke Kama.
———
To all of you, I want to personally extend my most sincere gratitude and warmest aloha for your love for Tūtū.
———
Up until my final conversation with her, I had kept reminding Tūtū that she was more famous than me
but for real!
———
I would talk to her about the comments you all have shared over the years….and every single time, it tickled her.
———
She has told me to tell you, “Mahalo! I love you all!”
———
I have so much to share about Tūtū and I would like to share some stories of my time with her in future posts.
———
The one thing I would like to say about her for this post:
I WOULD NOT be where I am in my life today if it wasn’t for Tūtū, personally and professionally. She has always been a part of my life. She is part of my brand. Even though Tūtū is no longer with us, I will continue to speak of her because to me, she will partially live through me. Love you all!
———
Tūtū lays at rest along side her mother, my great-great grandmother (aka Tūtūtū
). May they REST IN PEACE!
