@TheEdVerse We've been discussing in my group why druids cannot use metal armour. My thought is that metal is as natural as leather or cloth (if not more so), but my friend said something about "interference with the weave and the natural order." Could you clarify this for us?

Yes. The D&D in-house design thinking has always been that NATURAL iron or copper in the earth is no hindrance to druidic magic, but REFINED, concentrated metal items ("cold iron") is. When the Realms was made a D&D setting, that became canon for the Realms. #realmslore

its based on the fairies being weak to metal in folklore, cuz metal is TORN OUT of the mother earth, right? Its all supersticious fake supernatural nonsense - it has no rhyme, or reason, cuz it comes form the times, where actual scientific understanding was lacking.
