January 1st, 2025: First blog of the new year, I got to have waffles for breakfast this morning and my sister’s friends are still over. My mom yelled at me for wanting to go to the gas station I worked at for lunch because I didn’t actually get any lunch yesterday. I also had to pack for our plane trip to New Jersey tomorrow because we would have to wake up at 3:00am in order to catch the plane at 6:00am. Near nighttime, I decided to try and get the nice cat so I could give her to my sister but I got scratched.

January 2nd, 2025: Woke up at 3:00am today in order to do some quick packing before heading to the airport. My parents made me drive the van up to the house so that we could load it and my sister was the last one awake. At roughly 4:00am we drove to the airport, had our tickets printed out, and then waited in line for TSA. My parents were being assholes to me to the point that the TSA agents were far nicer in comparison, so we eventually get out (my sister had a camera that couldn't go through the scanners) and waited for our plane. Eventually boarding for the plane started at 5:20am but we were the last ones on so it kind of sucked, I ended up sitting next to my mom on the left aisle, which was changed to the right aisle because this young Chinese couple said that they were sitting in our seats because we read our tickets wrong. On the plane ride to Newark, New Jersey, I watched Season 1, Episode 1 of the Penguin and then the Awesome-o episode of South Park. The plane got to Newark like 25 minutes early so we got off and then I tried to wait in line for a bathroom to open twice, the first time I gave up and then went back again to be behind this hipster guy who said:
“Do you think if I direct enough people to open stalls and urinals, they’ll pay me?”
I replied:
“Hopefully!”
After that we got our one thing of baggage and then walked down to the busses to find one that went from Newark to Manhattan for $25 a person. Yes, $25 a person, it was written on the side of the bus in sharpie and I still think it was a scam. On the bus ride the girl who friendzoned me was crying that I was adverse to her giving my Snapchat to her parents, which was totally out of line. We finally got to our hotel after the walk from where the bus dropped us off, but we couldn’t get in early, so we just dropped off our bags, we decided to take a walk then to Friedmans for lunch, which was notoriously overpriced, but the classic B.L.A.T was almost worth $18.00, or as they would put it: “18”. After that, my family and I walked to the subway station to take the 1 Line down to the end of the line (South Ferry stop) in order to get on the ferry to see the Statue of Liberty. On the train ride we saw an older Black man rapping at the doors to the subway car until he got off, to which my mom then moved over to near where he was standing to see the subway map. We got off and out of the subway to see a bunch of people that were aggressively pushing their ferry to Liberty island, the four of us finally managed to find an actual official to inform us that buying new tickets for the ferry was not possible because they were sold out until Saturday. My mom then decided that we should walk to the Irish hunger memorial along the waterline. We finally get there after a bit of walking and my mom complained that the old traditional Irish house was inaccurate because it used mortar to hold the stones together. After the memorial we walked to the C line station to take it up to The High Line but we went south for one station before having to switch to the train going north. We got off and then we walked up to The High Line and walked to the south end and then all the way up to the north end, we then walked down from it and went east, we walked through the Macy’s before we finally checked into our hotel, we ended up getting two single rooms instead of one double room, I ended up sharing a room with my sister and I took the couch. I charged my phone for a bit before taking an hour-long nap, when I woke up I texted my mom when we would go get dinner and she said that she would wake dad from his nap and I said immediately to not do that. We eventually decided to head to dinner at 6:00pm and we settled on this Shanghainese place called Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao, a food spot established in 2006. We walked there and passed a pizza place along the way. The food at Long Bao was amazing and not as expensive as the place we got lunch at. We then walked back to our hotel and along the way we stopped at a convenience store to buy some yogurt and orange juice. I remember seeing what looked like an Indian Jew (probably Conservative Judaism) with what appeared to be his girlfriend/wife, who looked to be Ashkenazi. We then got into our rooms in our hotel and I went to sleep to the sight of the Empire State Building.

January 3rd, 2025: My last full day in New York City today. I woke up at 7:15am to go downstairs to the lobby of my hotel in order to get breakfast. It was pretty crowded there but free breakfast is always nice. Because my sister had work, she left us and we walked over to the New York Public library, we tried to get in but it didn’t open until 10:00am so we continued walking over to Grand Central Terminal, I managed to get a map that could go up on my wall in my apartment for free from one of the employees there. We then continued onto our final destination to the United Nations building where we had to check in before our visit, which consisted of filling out an online form and taking a picture of ourselves. We assumed that the guard was either Scottish or Irish because of his accent, he was pretty friendly, next up was the scan where we got our badges to get in, this woman who I assumed to be from Romania who worked for the UN helped us out and then I was told to go to this woman who looked vaguely Southeast Asian, she complimented me on the photo I took because it had a very beautiful sky in the background. We then walk across the street to the actual United Nations building and we take the tour there with this girl from South Korea. At one point in the tour we saw this large map of the world:

I asked the tour guide what the dotted line in between Kenya and South Sudan was and she said that she didn’t know, other than that it was a border dispute between the two countries; the tour also included them showing this brick made out of recycled plastic that was used to build a school in Côte d’Ivore. The tour ended and we went down to the gift shop, my dad got a sticker while I got a hat. We eventually walked down over to this tiny pizza place that served “Halal chicken bacon ranch pizza”

which was honestly too funny, while we were eating outside, there was a napkin on the ground outside near where I was standing, so I grabbed it and threw it away. Lunch was ok and my mom wanted to go to a fabric store so she left me and my dad alone. We then got to the subway stop for the first train to the Museum of Natural Sciences. I picked up some litter I found on the ground and then my dad decided to give me so much shit for picking up a tissue that someone had blown into (It was just a receipt) I corrected him and he conveniently didn’t notice that. After that he ended up telling us to get on the wrong train going in the wrong direction so we had to exit in Brooklyn, pay for our tickets again, and then go two stops to transfer to the B line. The B line wait was pretty long but we eventually got on the train to the museum and we both enjoyed the exhibits very much, like the Big Bang one and the ones about extinct dinosaurs and mammals. We left at 3:30 to go back to the hotel to recharge and regroup before heading out to dinner, walking to this Mexican place near Times Square. When we got inside the restaurant, I decided to hand out the utensils for my family and then my sister chimes in some shit about not putting utensils directly on the table, with my dad then replying about me picking up trash off the floor and the whole family (except me) laughing, I called my dad out for being a hypocrite for making me to pick up trash on the sidewalk but my entire family decided that they didn’t hear that. I only spoke once or twice the whole time while I watched as this white guy with blonde hair was on a date with this fat Asian girl (with black hair) next to us and I was jealous because they appeared to be having a good time. We then walked to the play around Times Square and saw those scumbags who dress up as popular characters, photobomb people, and then demand money from them. We watched Hamilton at the Richard Rodgers Theatre (none of our seats were next to each other) so I sat next to this fat Mexican girl and her ambiguously gay boyfriend. The musical was amazing and it made me sad that I wasn’t born in the 1770s and couldn’t take part in the founding of our nation. My dad said the play was awesome and that it has surprisingly no bad musical parts. After that we walked back through Times Square and saw one of those popular character photobombers dressed as the baby from Cocomelon, I swear that if I had a gun on me I would have shot him right there and then. We continued walking to our hotel and remarked about all of the New York City merch. I took a shower and then went to bed.

January 4th, 2025: Officially my last day in New York City, I woke up at roughly 7:00am to get downstairs in order to get my breakfast, there was a bunch of people there but they had pancakes out so I had those, I finished up that and some fruit and coffee, then I went back up to my hotel room and then wrote my blog entry and charged up my phone a bit more. I then finally packed up and we went down to the lobby to store our bags with the hotel before we left. Our first stop of the day was the transit museum in Brooklyn, which was mostly focused on public transit in New York City rather than the United States in general or the whole world, the most interesting part of the exhibit was the old train cars below where you could see the advertisements on them, I remember there being an advertisement promoting going to church in the 1974 to 1977 train car, one showing a multitude of babies of different races in the 1949 car, and there were advertisements depicting happy couples in the older cars, which made me really jealous because I wish we had a society which promoted love, Christianity, and a fertility rate above 2.1. I wished this one girl, who I will be calling Vannie, a happy 20th birthday, basically we meet in a metals class my senior year, she was 17 and I was 18 at the time, it was pretty obvious that she was interested in me at the time but I didn't pursue it because age of consent here is 18. I remember a while back she said that her girlfriend lived on the same street as me. There was also a part where they exhibited art about the MTA from Autistic people, there was one artist that was actually pretty good called Dennis Yee. We then took the subway to the southernmost point of Manhattan to catch the ferry to Liberty Island (with a TSA-style check beforehand) in order to see the Statue of Liberty, we toured the museum on the western side and watched a movie about the statue and its making inside, after that, we went through a second TSA-style check in order to get inside the statue, we went up the stairs until we weren't allowed to anymore because we didn't pay enough for the crown tour. The ferry was leaving soon so we all boarded that, it then stopped at Ellis island next but we weren't going there so my family waited for it to head back to Manhattan and then it did, we went to Little Italy for dinner and I had mussels with linguine. My sister went off to this sports store while the rest of us decided to visit the Banksy museum, I saw a ton of graffitislop or something. Once that was done we went back to our hotel to grab our bags then walked over to where the bus from Newark dropped us off and this taxi guy drove us over for $100. We got in line for TSA and they had to pat me down because my penis set off the security scanner, but to make things worse our flight got delayed by an hour from 9:51pm to 10:54pm. We then finally got on the flight and I didn't have any screen next for my seat so I asked my dad to trade places, we did but there was no screen on any of the seats. I ended up trying to watch this episode of Family Guy I had saved on my phone but I realized that it was weirdly zoomed in and out so I gave up and went to sleep as the date changed…

January 5th, 2025: I woke up at 12:30am as we were about to land, the guy next to me started feeling sick so he grabbed the bag from in front of him and vomited into it, we them got off the plane and my mom told me I should wash my hands because the man next to me might have had norovirus, so I washed up. We then got into the car and drove home, I showered and then went to sleep. I woke up at 8:30am to come downstairs and eat some oatmeal with my family. My sister then left so I said goodbye to her. At around noon, my mom suggested that I drive back to my apartment today and then take the Amtrak down to my grandma’s house tomorrow, I accepted and started packing, at 3:45pm we left our home for me to drive back to my apartment, I got there at 5:15pm and I unpacked a bit with my mom before I had to leave. I then made dinner and walked down to the church. The church was pretty good. I saw Joseph, Raphael, Raphael’s wife Raphaela, and their son. The homily was nice and afterwards I walked to the grocery store to see the girl I had over to watch One Piece, I said hi to her and she proposed that we go on a day trip down to a big city soon. I then rushed over to the bus to take it home, on the bus I saw my roommate looking down at his phone, mouth open looking like Jesus if he was an Amerimutt, he didn’t notice me but there was also a lot more Indians in the city where I am as compared to New York City. I got home, took a shower with some Pabst beer, worked on my schlog blog, biblejak and then went to bed.

January 6th, 2025: Today’s the 4th anniversary of Trump supporters storming the capital while the election certification process was ongoing. I woke up at 6:00am today in order to pack up quickly to go down to the Amtrak station, I had to wait in the bus stop (which was really not designed for cold weather) for the bus at 7:00am, I got down to the station at 7:35am and waited in line until 7:55am where we got to board the train. It was really nice on there and it only costed me $44 dollars for a round trip, the train then left at 8:05am, we eventually made it to the first stop in a short moment at the airport, I even saw a guy rushing to get on the train but it left before he could even get on, we then got to our next stop and in between the second and third stop I realized that I could have gotten a free ride via Amtrak if I am sneaky enough. At 9:35am I finally arrived in Chicago and I texted my grandma, who I will be calling Jane, and my dad that I was here. I then walked east to get to my Red Line stop. I went down to the Jackson Red Line stop, bought the card to use the turnstiles to get in, and then I got on the train because it was there immediately. On the train there was this Hispanic guy listening to TikToks at full volume for everybody to hear, I got tired of it and even thought of telling him to use his headphones that he was wearing when either of us got off, and if he attacked me I did have a knife.

However, we both got off at the same stop so I didn’t feel safe calling him out. I then walked to my grandma’s apartment and she greeted me while I got settled in. I got my Christmas gifts from my grandma which included an Apple AirTag, a book called The Woman Behind The New Deal, and a silver chain watch that made me look more Italian.

After that I tried to play with my grandma’s cat but she was not receptive to anything I did. Jane showed me her photo albums where I saw my dad, my great-grandpa, my dad’s friend Steinbrenner, and his then-girlfriend Julie. I watched the first episode of the second season of Squid Game. Eventually we went to pick up my cousin who I will be calling Jared, he’s pretty smart and his grandpa was in the Chicago Police Department so he got a good scholarship from that. He nearly picked up his friend’s keys and after that we drove to this sushi place to meet up with his mom/my aunt and one of his two older sisters, who I will be calling Thing Beta. Thing Beta gave me my Christmas gift of a $20 Steam gift card while we talked about how hard it is to get a job here. We had a good time at the place and I got to eat the ginger that others had, Thing Alpha wasn’t there because she was in New York City, my aunt made a joke about how me and Jared are both growing boys because we ate the most food out of the five of us. After dinner we head to this ice cream place and my aunt remarks about how the candy cigarettes they sold are the reason why she got addicted to cigarettes in the first place. After that me and my grandma drive to the grocery store to get some milk. I have to wait in a long ass line to get it but we get back home after that and I take a shower and then go to sleep.

January 7th, 2025: My first full day in Chicago, I woke up and immediately decided to make some cereal for myself as breakfast, but there wasn't that much so I just filled it out with some oats to make it a full bowl of cereal, after a bit Jane woke up and said hi to me and made some coffee. She proposed that we take a walk to the beachfront, which we did, walking up the street past this bookstore and then to the lakefront, it was very cold and there was these weird formations of snow hills and chunks of ice floating in the lake, with some of them up to the size of boulders, my grandma was concerned about there not being these ducks out on our walk out to the pier, after a certain point the ice was really thick and it was covering the fences really thickly, so I kicked some of the ice off so that people could grab onto the metal ropes if they foolishly decided to walk out on the pier. On the walk off the pier, we finally saw the ducks and Jane was overjoyed, we then proceeded north and I decided to walk up one of the snow hills, with the cloud formation in the background, it looked like I was on top of a mountain in a mountain range in the photo that she took, we then walked farther north and Jane talked about some stories she had about the police in Chicago being shit, mainly these 3:
1. During the Black Lives Matter movement, our family friend Jean was on the subway with this crazy White guy making a bunch of noise, Jean tells him:
"Shut up!"
And the crazy guy pushes him down when Jean gets off the train, one person helps him up and another calls to a barricade of police to stop the man, the police do nothing and even let the crazy man through, Jean confronts them and asks:
"Why did you even let him through?"
They say:
"You should go down to the station and file a report."
2. There was a point where my dad and Jane were in the South Side of Chicago because their car was stolen and located by the police, there was a police making racist remarks and said that if they were from the south side, then the policeman would have detained both of them, but they were White so they didn't, my dad was frustrated with his mom for the whole thing.
3. One time these White teenagers were robbed by these Black teenagers, Jane was there with her Black friend from California, I forgot why they were here but the cop asked the teenagers:
"Why were you hanging out with these niggers?"
Jane decided to report the cop for that and he got suspended without pay, the cop's officer met with her and her daughter's husband's father and uncle to try and intimidate her into rescinding her report but she refused. (By the way she mentioned the line the cop said near a Black man sitting on the park bench)
I continued the walk and she made a remark about how I used to dance to Foo Foo by Santana a lot when I was with Jane and my cousins when younger. When we got home we had lunch and then we took the bus down to the Museum of Contemporary arts to meet up with a friend, who was none other than Angeleno. We greeted each other and I paid for his ticket to get inside the museum. We saw all the exhibits and there was even one made by this black artist about racism, at the end we wrote in these books they gave you journals to write in, I made a "Plus-sized Black transkween" joke. We then went to the computer art exhibit as he followed me around. We eventually went downstairs for me to buy an expensive jasmine matcha donut, it tastes like shit but I finished it. Angeleno and I then go up to a final exhibit before my grandma says that we should head down and back to our place, we get on the very crowded bus and then get back to our place; however, Jane has us get off early to grab a pizza and ice cream mochi from Aldi. We then walked back to the apartment to give them the pizza, we then got inside and I asked Angeleno if he had watched the new season of Squid Game. He said he has not even watched the first season of Squid Game. I put Seinfeld on the TV and we watched it before heading into the living room to eat some bruschetta, salad, and pizza. We also had some wine before continuing to watch more Seinfeld.

Eventually Angeleno had to leave so we said goodbye to him, I then took a shower and went to bed.
Here's some things that I learned from Angeleno:
>He's in contact with Scar, who apparently got into a car crash and ended up winning $10,000 in the lawsuit.
>He loves not just bikes
>He is staying in Chicago temporarily.
>He thinks that Froot is legitimately addicted to drugs, but he is also playing a character
>Kuz would add stuff to his own 'ki article under his IP, including the "Kuz is Gay" rumor.
>To be expanded on

January 8th, 2025: My final day in Chicago, I spent the first part of the morning packing up, my grandma said that we should leave around 12:00pm, she said that she was doing this yoga thing from 11:00am to 11:30am but it turns out that she lost her airpods and had to look all around for them, so no yoga for her. She then drives me down to the train station in Downtown Chicago and I realize too late that I forgot my suitcase; however, I wasn't going to stress over it because I only had two sets of clothes in them, I might be coming back next week so I didn't stress about it at all. I take a bit of a walk around the place before boarding the train, I remember while waiting in line, there was this one super loud Black girl wearing a Naruto t-shirt which was getting on my nerves, but overall the ride back home was pretty chill and we only had a child delay due to a freight train passing through. I waited for the bus a bit while I saw this cute Scene girl at the bus stop with dyed green hair. I didn't have the courage to talk to her, but this old lady tried to talk to me about getting her to call her neighbor, but I said no. After the bus ride I walked back to my apartment and unpacked a bit before hopping on the computer to game. At 4:00pm, I had to call my mom over Microsoft Teams in order to discuss getting another internship. I talked to her about Angeleno and she seemed weirdly angry and interrogative, which reminded me why I didn’t hang out with friends much when I was younger. I then went down to the local store to buy an outlet block to charge my phone with, I had some tater tots for dinner and then went to bed.

January 9th, 2024: I woke up this morning to have some cereal for breakfast, I did go outside for a bit to go on a walk. After a bit I decided to walk over to a bus stop to ride it all the way to its end, while reading the Bible. I did the bus ride because I would get it unlocked on this app called Superlocalmaps. On the bus ride there this Black guy sat near me and praised me for reading the scriptures, telling me to read Luke 10:19-20
☛19 Behold, I have given you the power ‘to tread upon serpents’ and scorpions and upon the full force of the enemy and nothing will harm you.
☛20 Nevertheless, do not rejoice because the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice because your names are written in heaven.
We talked a bit more and I said thank you to him before we ended up getting to 20th street where I saw this guy who looked like Post Malone minus all the tattoos driving extremely fast and he nearly hit the bus. We lucked out but I hate the drivers here. The Bible guy gets off later and then I get off at the mall, I make my way to the Starbucks and buy a pistachio latte from a Black woman who seemed interested in me. I walked around the mall a bit to find yet another Starbucks before walking back to the bus stop to take the bus back home. I then got home and updated my Linkedin before doing a bit more programming. I then made myself some mac and cheese for dinner before watching the Sonic movie, it was pretty cheesy to be honest. I finally went to bed, but not before lying to Asherah about completing Gayle Waters-Waters over text.

January 10th, 2025: Back to work, I woke up early in order to take the bus to work. Ignacio complimented me on using my new wallet. During work today, I had to clean the things where the tags were and while my knees were on the floor getting the lower tag holders, I ended up getting a cut in my left knee which resulted in a good amount of blood coming out, making me have to go to the bathroom to patch up. I ended up being able to get out early so I decided to take this one bus route I have taken a lot all the way to its end point, the person who happened to be on the bus was the girl who drove me home once, I found out from her that she left because she found it stressful, and also she was constantly high every day at work, she mentioned that she heard from fAsherah that the girl with sickle cell anemia got fired for having to get surgery, also there was this guy that tried to smell her and didn't get fired for doing meth. As she was on her way to the gym, she mentioned that she wanted to lose fat in her face so she looked older (she looks 20 but is actually 25), so I made a joke saying: "Be careful what you wish for, soon you'll look 35 at 26!" She finds it funny and then asks why I am riding the bus, I say that I am riding the bus for fun and she gets weirded out at me, I continue along on my bus ride and notice it gets less and less full until we got to the end. I walked across the street to the gas station, I am pretty sure I was the only White guy there, the bathroom was out of order so I decided to just buy a bag of mini Oreos for like $2, the cashiers were protected by bulletproof glass and I had to pass the cash through the opening below. I then got it and walked back to the bus. I waited to get on while the woman driving the bus had to quickly spray down the interior of the bus with literal Pine Sol. I get on the bus and then wait for it to start driving down the road. I texted Joseph that I would only be able to go out for dinner with him at 6:00pm instead of 5:30pm. I then texted the girl who found me weird for riding the bus with a screenshot of my location on Google maps saying:
>Having fun in a place you have constantly been before?
<is this gemerson
>Do you not have my number saved?
<new phone, i almost shat my pants that's a horrifying message to get from a random number
>Wait so that's why you never responded to my previous text?
>Wait did you quit?
<i must've not gotten it- but yes i did quit (as we now know)
>Are you going to tell fAsherah about my bus enthusiasm?
<or lack there of
>Lack?
<i did cause i asked if she had your number bc i was confused asf
<and then i was like literally who else would this be
>I never asked for fAsherah's number though.
<i wasn't sure
>Oh,
>What happened to your old phone?
<literally no idea it just randomly turned off and never turned on again
>Did you charge it, or even replace the battery?
<it was like $600 to fix but $200 for a new one so i got a new one lol
>Broooo
<i know like wtf
>At the CITGO they stopped at, it had bulletproof glass between the cashier and you had to slip the money through a slot underneath
<classic [city] precautions
>I've never seen this before at any [city] gas station.
<gemerson ur from [homecity]
<it's common asf
>I have been to multiple [city] gas stations before.
>Don't ignore me loser!
I finally got back to my stop at 5:45pm and walked home, I took off my shoes because they were bothering me and then put a different pair back on, I then went outside to wait for Joseph to pick me up and he did, during our time together he talks about how Father Malachi was doing the two masses at the church for this Sunday (not the one I would be at), how he dislikes the Traditional Latin Mass because he didn't like having to read all Latin instructions when he was an acolyte, there was also the fact that it was his great niece's second birthday today, and two of his nephews that lived in Los Angeles, one in Koreatown, were concerned about their houses burning down with the fire, after that he drove me home and I took a shower before going to sleep.

January 11th, 2024: Woke up at 7:00am to get back to work, the bus ride there as ok and I had to do the beverage cooler for my first task, then working on my other tasks, including portioning cheese (which I hadn’t done in a long time) and some more vacuuming among other things, one time when I went up to the front to grab a brush, fAsherah tells me to come over and that I should shake her “hand” which was actually a taxidermied deer leg that we had at the store, also Will offered me a banana for free. During my second break, I saw fAsherah sitting in the break room and I asked her if she saw the text I sent her friend and she said yes, saying that she was going to mock me for it. Later on Jesse had me write out how many of each item we had in the warehouse until it was closing time. Closing time was ok except for when I had to drymop the store, because there was this one boomer couple that was being an asshole to me, they were slow to move the first time and when I needed to pass them the second time, they didn’t move their shopping cart, I said:
“Excuse me, could you move your cart, I’m trying to clean here.”
To which the husband said:
“I’m trying to shop here!”
I then whispered under my breath:
“Fuck off you wastes of oxygen.”
I remember seeing Ignacio up front and I wish I told him about the two but I didn’t. I then got out and went home to work on doing this programming stuff to get an opportunity to do a retake, I asked Torvalds if he did any of them and he said that he just started today. I continued programming and ended up only having two cold hotdogs for dinner. I then took a shower and then at 11:03am, I texted Lizzo:
>Are you having the thing with your phone where you don't receive certain texts like Asherah claims to have?
And then went to sleep while having to deal with Enosh loudly watching television in the living room.

January 12th, 2025: My final day of my work week, I woke up early for work and had more cereal. The bus ride to work was ok, work consisted of me stocking the beverage cooler again before I was told by Jesse to start counting the inventory with a scanner. I remember hearing Folsade say something about when she was 17 or something. Both Lebanon and Copper complimented me on my outfit today, which consisted of black dress pants, a belt, and a turquoise button up shirt that was tucked in. I actually went on lunch kind of early, at 12:00pm instead of 12:30pm because I didn't have anything to do then, I went to the owner of the store and I didn't see his friend Mr. Medici, so I asked him where he was and the owner said:
"Oh he'll be here soon!"
I then went on my lunch break and had my calabrian gnocci. During my lunch, Copper asked me what I was having and if it was good and I told him that I enjoyed it, I joked around with fAsherah a bit more by closing the hard to open door. After that I just continued on with scanning items. I asked Lizzo how she was doing and she said that she was having issues with her family dealing with her father, the whole story is that her family has had chickens ever since she was 6 years old and Lizzo poured a lot of love into them but her father, who she described as a narcissist, was pretty neglectful, which resulted in multiple stories of them being neglected, such as chicken feed being left out to rot, eggs being uncollected which resulted in chicks hatching and rotten eggs, and a story about a chicken being attacked which resulted in part of its skull being exposed where her father reacted by putting the chicken in a box in the basement to "mercy kill it" but it survived, she also said she never found out about these things until she goes home for break. After the whole extremely long text about her chickens she then texts me:
<So my family has had chickens since I was 6 but they were kinda always mine because I took care of them and loved them a lot. But now that I'm gone for college, I don't think my father is taking good care of them at all, but tbh I've never trusted him. When I was younger, we had 4 roosters andy father made me pick two to be killed instead of just finding a new home for them. One time I had some younger chicks about a month old that I had hatched and I was letting them play outside while I watched to make sure they were safe. I was about to put them back in the coop and leave to see a friend, but my father said he could watch them and got angry when I said I was going to put them back and accused me of not trusting him. I was tired of arguing so I said fine, but he should never leave them by themselves. He said he wouldn't. When I got back home, all 3 of them were dead. And those examples are just related to the chickens he's always been a narcissistic asshole. In the time that I have been gone for college almost half of the chickens have "gone missing" and I don't know about it until I come back for winter breK and look into the coop and see how empty it is because nobody ever tells me which makes me think my father hasn't been taking care of them like he should. But its not just about that. When I came back for break, I found that my father had been leaving eggs to sit in the coop for so long that the hens had hatched chicks and there were about 20 other rotten eggs lying around. Nothing is organized, it's all a mess, there's open bags of feed instead of in the sealed containers. Worst of all, the night I came back I found out that one of the chickens had been attacked. It was so bad parts of his skin had been ripped off and his skull was exposed. And instead of taking him to a vet my father decides he's going to "mercy kill" the chicken. My mom told him not to, so he didn't end up doing it, but instead my father put him in a box in the basement and wait to see if he'd live or not. My father didn't try to put any bandages on him, no pain meds, literally just threw him in a box and went on with his day. Well this chicken did survive, but because he didn't get any medical attention, there is still a part of his skull exposed, his skin is ripped up  and the entire area around it is completely featherless. But thats not even the end of it. Another chickens has disappeared and when I say that I mean this chicken fully was just gone one day. I went into the coop and there was one less chicken and when I brought it up, I was told that the other chickens had pecked her to death and killed her days ago apparently. I was upset, I said I didn't believe it because not only does it sound insane, I never saw any evidence of that and maybe I might have if I actually got to see the body and say goodbye.
<Now I'm trying to rehome the chickens and get them to someone who actually cares. Not only does he not care about them, he doesn't respect the care I put into them and how much I love them.
So I talked to her about my mom’s friend Addison and her large collection of chickens (and some ducks too) and she could adopt them from her, she then replied:
<Thanks for the offer, but unless they live near where I do, the drive would be too long.
Although I don’t think that we aren’t that far from each other. I then got done with some of my work early so I just decided to chill around for a bit before doing my closing tasks. I got done with those a bit early and decided to chill a bit more before clocking out, buying some Jordan Almonds, and heading home. I got a text from my mom which said:
<Hey, give me a call when you get home from work tonight.
And I did when I got home, it was mostly about internships that she wanted me to apply to. I then walked to church and I tried to go to the bathroom early on but one of the choir singers, more specifically the one who worked at the bankruptcy firm, walked out and said that the toilet was already flooded. The sermon was ok, the priest talked about being a teacher at the Catholic school and Joseph was serving as an acolyte, and afterwards the priest asked for help with taking stuff down, I started with taking off the baubles from the Christmas tree with Raphael, Raphaela, and their son, there was also this woman who was there who was playing the piano once who was in her mid 30s and unmarried from the looks of it, her name was Amy and she was a social worker, she seemed pretty nice to me and helped me take stuff down to the basement. After that I went home and did some more programming for the retake and then went to bed.
