  • Alleged text messages between Erika Kirk and a 15-year-old dating back to 2014 have sparked concerns about grooming and inappropriate behavior.

Erika Kirk is once again facing controversy over alleged text messages between her and a 15-year-old dating back to 2014.

Although the messages have yet to be verified, they have sparked concerns about grooming among netizens, with her late husband, Charlie Kirk's pal, Candace Owens, also weighing in on the issue.

Some have condemned Erika Kirk's actions, using strong terms such as "disgusting" and "criminal." Meanwhile, the mother of two has yet to address the allegations publicly.

Erika Kirk has recently been the subject of increased scrutiny of her past following her rise in public attention after the tragic death of her husband, Charlie Kirk.

Now, fresh allegations have surfaced against the 37-year-old, this time involving a minor and dating back to 2014.

In messages that have gone viral on social media, the mother of two appears to have communicated extensively with the alleged girl, despite being significantly older at the time.

In some instances, Erika Kirk, who went by her paternal surname at the time, Frantzve, was seen using flirtatious terms such as calling the girl "sweetheart," and allegedly sent her chocolates and birthday wishes.

Some of the communications also reportedly included what appeared to be inappropriate jokes, whose meanings seemed to be understood only by Erika and the then-15-year-old.

The messages were shared by an X account believed to be linked to the individual and appear to remain active at this time.

Since the messages surfaced, they have raised concerns among netizens about whether Erika was grooming the minor at the time.

One wrote, "Was Erika trying to groom this 15-year-old girl? This isn't normal behavior for a 25-year-old adult to talk to a 15-year-old child this way."

"This is inexplicable. It's unjustifiable. It's inexplicable," another user said of Erika, adding, "She's a grooming paedophile herself."

Some users, however, were divided over the messages, with some outright dismissing the grooming allegations, while others felt the messages were at least "inappropriate."

"I am not pro or anti- Erika Kirk. However, looking at the language and vulgarity in the exchanges, it was at the very least inappropriate. Especially since Erika was claiming to be a Christian," a user said

One more wrote, "It seems the only thing Erika did wrong in this situation was extend too much genuine, big sister kindness to a girl she didn't realize at the time had an unhealthy, sexual obsession with her."

The Texts Were Described As 'Absolutely Vile' By Candace Owens

Amid the shock surrounding the messages, political commentator Candace Owens has also weighed in.

In recent months, Owens has criticized Erika Kirk on several issues, ranging from her demeanor in media interviews to her motives following the assassination of her husband, Charlie Kirk.

The podcaster has also raised various conspiracy theories about his death, claiming he was once her friend.

In a recent episode of her show, Owens described the alleged relationship between Erika and the minor as "absolutely vile."

She then doubled down on her claim about X in response to a post from a netizen about Erika's behavior toward the minor.

Owens wrote, "It is TEXTBOOK grooming behavior. Not to mention, it is illegal in Michigan to photograph a minor without parental consent or presence. Yes, it requires an explanation."

The TPUSA CEO Was Called Out After A Video Of An Audition Resurfaced

Erika has continued to be in the news for all the wrong reasons and was also recently under fire after an old "Amazing Race" audition tape of hers was unearthed, showing her acting flirty with her then-boyfriend, J.T. Massey.

"You look really handsome," Erika said to Massey while lowering the neckline of his V-cut shirt.

"Babe, that's deep in there. Give them the cleavage, people want cleavage, showcase it," Massey responded, seemingly playing along with Erika's intimate gesture.

This prompted her to reply with laughter, "Sex sells, babe," before whispering, "Even though it's against our religion."

The video quickly went viral, with many accusing the widow of being a "hypocrite" and having a "thirst" for fame

Recently, Erika also came under fire for her decision to feature Pastor Greg Laurie as a key speaker for the For Faith: "Make Heaven Crowded" tour.

Netizens who were displeased with the feature claimed that Erika's nonprofit was now supporting individuals with a history of abuse, and that Laurie's participation was not something Charlie would have wanted.

Laurie is the senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, who has been named in a wave of lawsuits filed in U.S. federal court alleging child abuse and trafficking by former pastor Paul Havsgaard.

The lawsuit alleged that church leaders, including Laurie, allowed Havsgaard to act without oversight and overlooked multiple warning signs of his alleged misconduct when he ran church-supported children's homes in Romania from 1998 to 2008.

Despite the backlash, the widow skipped addressing the controversy, while Laurie and his church have since denied any wrongdoing.

  • Candace Owens faces backlash over her upcoming investigative series focusing on Erika Kirk, the CEO of Turning Point USA, following her husband’s assassination.

Renowned political commentator and author Candace Owens has sparked a huge controversy with the reveal of her upcoming investigative series centered around Erika Kirk. Titled Bride of Charlie, the docuseries focuses on the latest CEO of Turning Point USA in the aftermath of her husband’s assassination. However, given the sensitive nature of her project, Owens has garnered immense backlash over the series, with several high-profile individuals going as far as to describe her as “evil.”

Candace Owens criticized over new series

On February 23, Owens took to her X (formerly Twitter) profile to share the first look at her latest series. The teaser trailer for Bride of Charlie opened with news coverage reporting the shocking death of Kirk.

Shortly afterwards, the focus shifts to his widow, Erika, who inherited her husband’s position as head of Turning Point USA post his passing. The teaser also touches upon several alleged conspiracy theories surrounding Erika.

However, Candace Owens’ docuseries about Erika Kirk doesn’t seem to resonate with a significant faction. Veteran columnist and television personality Meghan McCain shared her response to the trailer in a post, writing, “Pure, unadulterated, f—ing evil. Who in God’s name would put a woman whose husband was brutally assassinated in front of the entire world through this? I am so upset by this, I am just so deeply sorry Erika and her family have to be put through this.”

Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro shared a 10-minute rant against Owens on his X profile, calling her a “conspiratorial, evil person.” Meanwhile, popular far-right political activist Laura Loomer also denounced the Candace Owens-developed Erika Kirk series, stating, “Depraved. Just total harassment of a woman trying to be graceful and carry on her husband’s legacy,” in an X update.

Spokespeople for Owens have since responded to the backlash, noting, “We have no comment. The series will speak for itself, and you can watch the premiere episode [Wednesday].” In a separate statement shared with the New York Post, a spokesman remarked, “LOL. There isn’t any backlash outside of the Zionist bubble, which has no influence. People are excited to watch, and we are looking forward to presenting what we’ve discovered about Mrs. Kirk.”

  • Candace Owens questions Erika Kirk's background and upbringing in new docuseries, alleging that Erika misrepresented being raised by a single mother.

Candace Owens is raising questions about Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, in her new multi-part docuseries, Bride of Charlie, exploring Erika’s upbringing and background.

“I will tell you my personal opinion and experience with her. What alarms me about Erika isn't so much the fact that she lies, which we will prove to you over and over again, but it's also the fact that I don't know that she's aware that she's lying,” Owens, 36, alleged in the Wednesday, February 25, episode, titled “A Wrinkle In Time.”

In the first installment, Owens accuses Erika, 37, of misrepresenting herself to the public by claiming she was raised by a single mother, alleging that Erika’s claim is merely scratching the surface of what Owens described is a far more complicated and carefully curated narrative.

Owens began her segment by addressing investigative journalist Elizabeth Lane’s viral tweet suggesting that Erika’s public image is not authentic, noting that is just her “opinion” from “consistent, observable patterns of behavior.”

Owens echoed that sentiment and doubled down on various conspiracy theories that claim Erika is not “simply a grieving widow,” going on to accuse the Turning Point USA CEO of fabricating details about her past for potentially nefarious reasons.

Erika took over the role as Turning Point CEO after her husband, Charlie, was fatally shot in the neck while speaking at an outdoor event on the Utah Valley University campus on September 10, 2025. He was 31.

Owens said that Erika prides herself on being raised by a “strong, independent, entrepreneurial single mother [Lori Frantzve] who taught her how to be a good Christian,” claiming that Erika’s father, Kent Frantzve, was very much in the picture and, at one point, a stay-at-home dad.

The podcaster referenced Erika’s September 2025 profile in The New York Times, in which Erika said being a single mother to her and Charlie’s two kids was “actually the least traumatizing” aspect of her new reality, as she was raised by a single mother herself after her parents divorced. She went on to describe her mother as her “blueprint.”

Owens said Erika’s image is cultivated by “seeding the public with the idea that you can raise kids, and be a single mom, and also be a CEO and boss babe it.”

“The only problem is that it's just not true. Erika was not raised by a single mother, like, at all,” Owens alleged, further claiming that Kent was “always” in Erika’s life. “So much so that for entire years of her childhood, Kent was actually a stay-at-home dad. So almost the exact opposite thing was true at one point.”

Owens then played a clip of Erika defending stay-at-home dads while chatting with Charlie on an episode of “The Charlie Kirk Show” podcast, noting her father was a stay-at-home dad for a few years.

“And I gotta say it was really sweet. And really special. I was 4,” Erika said in the clip.

Erika Kirk Addresses Criticism Over Her Grieving Process Following Husband Charlie Kirk’s Death

Owens said Erika was 10 years old when her parents divorced in 1998, “so her father was very much a part of her early childhood and he did not stop being involved in her teenaged years either,” citing conversations she had with classmates and past boyfriends of Erika.

Owens also mentioned that Erika had a stepfather, Larry Ginta, who was a “fixture” in her life “since before her parents’ divorce was ever finalized.”

Us Weekly has reached out to Erika Kirk and Turning Point USA for comment.

After Owens released the trailer for her “investigative docuseries,” several supporters defended Erika online, who received a standing ovation at President Trump’s State of the Union address in Washington on Tuesday, February 24, accusing Owens of using her platform to smear Erika’s image.

“She’s a conspiratorial, evil person,” Ben Shapiro said of Owens during the Tuesday, February 24, episode of “The Ben Shapiro Show” podcast.

  • Candace Owens questions the authenticity of Erika Kirk's birth date and family history, suggesting potential discrepancies in her childhood and parentage.

Conservative political commentator Candace Owens is questioning the authenticity of her late friend Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk’s (née Frantzve) birth date.

“I will tell you my personal opinion and experience with her,” Owens, 36, said in the Wednesday, February 25, episode of her documentary series Bride Of Charlie. “What alarms me about Erika isn't so much the fact that she lies, which we will prove to you over and over again, but it's also the fact that I don't know that she's aware that she's lying.”

Owens suggested that “the version [Erika is] telling us today or yesterday was just recently downloaded into her mind and she therefore thinks it’s true.”

“[It’s] like a faulty memory or something,” Owens argued. “I’m saying I’m not sure that she’s fully aware that she’s lying because some of the lies are so stupid.”

Erika Kirk Recalls Seeing Charlie Kirk’s Body After His Death and More Revelations From 1st TV Interview

The documentary series digs into Erika’s childhood, including a potential discrepancy over her birthday. Owens points out alleged inconsistencies in Erika’s family tree, sharing a“conspiracy theory” that Erika’s aunt, Karla, may actually be her biological mother. (Erika, 37, has always maintained that her biological parents are Kent and Lori Frantzve.)

Owens takes issue with Erika saying that she was born on November 20, 1988, in Cincinnati, Ohio. The commentator showed alleged excerpts from Kent and Lori’s 1998 divorce filings, where they allegedly state that their daughter was born on November 22 of the same year. (Owens clarifies that the divorce petition was filed by Lori and only has “four statements of fact,” or very little personal information.)

Owens also questioned Kent and Lori stating in their divorce petition that they wed on November 20, 1995, which would have been Erika’s 7th birthday. A separation agreement enclosed with the divorce petition offers a completely different marriage date of November 7, 1982.

Owens additionally disputes Erika’s past comments that she was raised mostly by a single mother after her parents’ divorce in 1998, alleging there is contradictory information suggesting Kent was still actively involved in her life at the time.

“I have spoken to classmates, past boyfriends, and people are generally bewildered about why Erika is now representing that she does not have a relationship with Kent,” Owens claimed. “Also, if we remove Kent, Erika was raised with her stepfather [Larry] in her home.”

Owens, a former Turning Point USA communications director, has grown increasingly critical of Erika since Charlie was fatally shot while speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, on September 10, 2025. (A 22-year-old male was arrested in connection with the shooting on September 11, 2025, but has yet to enter a plea.)

In January, Owens leaked alleged audio of Erika, reportedly recorded during a Turning Point USA conference call less than two weeks after Charlie’s death. In the audio, Erika described her late husband’s public memorial as “an event of a century” and said that the organization was “at, like, over 200,000 for merch sale.”

“That’s moving pretty quickly to the acceptance phase now,” Owens told her viewers. “We know everybody grieves differently. In my imagination, I just thought she would be more upset.”

Meanwhile, Erika — whose husband Charlie was honored by President Donald Trump in his State of the Union speech on Tuesday, February 24 — paid tribute to the Turning Point USA founder in honor of her 37th birthday on February 20.

“I always loved celebrating you, and maybe because it was a reflection of how beautifully you always celebrated me. I romanticized growing old with you, the love of my life,” she shared via Instagram. “I used to wonder what our faces would look like with wisdom-wrinkles. You'd always tell me how you hoped I'd keep my long hair even when we were both gray and also that l'a always wear white (because it was the color you loved me wearing the most).”

The activist went on, “We'd laugh about how you'd probably still be out on college campuses in your 80s, doing ‘Prove Me Wrong’ campus events because you loved those students. And then we'd both start to tear up when talking about our babies growing older and having a family of their own. A full life.”

“Today, I find myself, in some way, still romanticizing growing old with you, just in different locations,” Erika continued. “So as I blow out candles this year with an ache so deep I pray no one ever has to feel it, I'm reminded that each day, each moment, each birthday...you're with me. Not in the way I once dreamed, but in the way God has mercifully allowed.”

Charlie also left behind his and Erika’s two children, a son and daughter, whose names they chose to keep private.
