DJ:VEK has been DJ'ing Since 1994 at the age of 15. Starting out Mixing with Jungle / Drum & Bass Records. When I first heard Origin Unknown - Valley Of The Shadows on Pirate Radio that was it I was Hooked on these Beats. VEK's first break was @ The Hammersmith Emerald Centre Playing through Crates of Jungle 12" Records and The Tune of Night was DJ Krust - Angles which I picked up from Unity Records that same day it was a Friday. It got rewound about 8 times! Since then I knew this is exactly what I wanted to do.
As Jungle turned into Drum & Bass it was getting produced a lot Harder, it wasn't until 1997 when I first heard Nu-Birth - Anytime, Todd Edwards - Saved My Life on Girls Fm. The last D&B Records I picked up were Scorpio - Trouble & DJ Krust - Warhead. I was then taken in by U.S. House & UK Garage. Tunes like Roy Davis Jr. - Gabriel, George Morel - Morels Groove Part 4, Tuff Jam - History Of House Music
