Hi everyone, after a tough grind, and mining crystals for 15 minutes, I finally broke into the upper echelon of guardians. Feel free to ask for any tips from a top player.
It feels so long ago now; so many memories made in The Witcher 3 since I last tried a new breed of shooter.
I can still recall the faint aroma of bull that clung to the air as I played the tutorial. Finally a new breed of shootin’ was arrive!
My heart filled up with learnings as my brain packed in wisdoms one by one. Without delay I was returned to the main menu where my only option was to complete the incomplete tutorial I had just completed.
That was a really unique moment for me in gaming. I couldn’t bear to follow so many down the path of abandonment and uninstall at that point, not after the developers had worked so hard to give me that special experience! No, I soldiered on, Warden.
And do you know why I played for 15 more minutes after I rebooted the game? Because I knew that special new breed of experience I’d had was totally independent from any trailer or social media or influence or agenda. It was all mine: straight from Wildlight to me. “You did not just complete the tutorial you just completed.”
We must do better to support unique Tencent-funded experiences in gaming!
I know if only more gamers had the tutorial experience I had then the game would be bigger than Fortnite bye now !
So be careful if you boast before you faceplant - someone may chuckle.
After a showed how the same bot accounts that were used to inflate the positive reviews for the game "Dragon Traveler" are now being used to inflate the positive reviews for Highguard, the Dragon Traveler reviews from those accounts have since been deleted. It's unclear if the reviews were removed by Steam, or if the bot accounts deleted the reviews to make the botting seem less blatant.
Some accounts even seem to have removed all of their reviews, but that could also be due to the accounts getting banned. Regardless, the rest of the bot accounts (those that weren't mentioned in the previous thread) didn't delete their reviews. To maintain a record of this botting pattern, here is a list of some of these other accounts, using Web Archive to preserve the data:

Why are these accounts suspicious? Because they have in common all of the following:
-
Only gives positive reviews to the exact same games: Highguard and Dragon Traveler.

Steam Level 2.

Highguard didn’t die because of YouTubers or negative reviews — it died because it was a boring, barely mid-tier game. I’m not saying nobody enjoys it or that you can’t have short-term fun, but let’s stop pretending it ever had a shot at breaking into this market, especially with the painfully limited content and laughably small roster it launched with. Speaking as someone with over 20 hours in the game: stop the cope and face the facts.
Similar to what Titanfall has, where they are spawning in and you are killing them, maybe even larger boss MOBS that need the whole team to take down.
I think this will make this all feel more alive and less barren and fix some key pacing issues.
I like the game, I think it's super fun, hope it has a long life.
Anyone else remember playing Highguard on the wii? We would play it during gym class, we'd strap the wii motes to the students who were voted to be mounts and ride on their backs, but we had to stop after the kid we nicknamed Precious Jr. broke someone's spine
People keep missing the elephant. You need to mine crystals in a hero shooter game to go shopping. That they went with this idea is mind-boggling.
