Christmas is a time of miracles, or so they say. While the world awaits the big miracles it desperately needs, a small but wonderful miracle happened to me last night. I'm deeply honored and genuinely moved to receive the Employee of the Year award - especially during this extraordinarily challenging year. When the introduction began, it could have described any of my wonderful colleagues: "a sunny person with a radiant spirit and a love of sunny languages, sunny countries, and good food." But when they mentioned "marathon-runner determination," it hinted:). I'm profoundly grateful for this recognition and looking ahead to 2026 with great excitement.
