Transparency Mass Ban - 2026-02-04

Hello all,

This is not a post I've wanted to make at all. I have made this thread to discuss the recent exodus and malicious behaviour of several (now ex) staff.
My patience has finally run out. I have tried to just let this run its course, and let things handle themselves but my hand has been forced
The events of the past 6 months along with myself being made homeless for several months has pushed me to my breaking point.

For context: 8 years ago, Jon (aka Serafeline, Screwdriver, Frosty Scales, Tailbait, koopa516 etc) drove me and a friend called Pansy apart. He dared me to message her while drunk for his amusement last April. She had been gone from my life for years. This event put us back in contact with one another and she has been supporting me throughout.

The goings-on about Pansy controlling me is, for lack of a better term, complete and utter horseshit. If anything, I've been the one controlling her. She gave me the confidence to stand up for myself and say the magic word: no. I've had to stop her from posting edgy jokes and snippy comments before. She has a rough sense of humour (that also applies to herself) but she does care about people. This person dropped everything and helped me get back on my feet at the lowest point in my life so far, and I'm made out to be mentally ill and told to "seek help"? Go fuck yourself. I owe her my life, because if she hadn't I'd be dead from hypothermia from sleeping on the streets.

Anyone attempting to stir shit in relation to this will be banned without mercy, because I am done with your shit. I want to sit down for at least a day and not have to worry about people stirring yet more bullshit, causing yet more ill health I could go without, because frankly I would rather be feeding ducks at the pond with my friend and watching House. Instead I've had to constantly react and defend myself against a serial control freak, narcissist and liar who's been wreaking havoc on what little social groups I've had until recently for about a decade.

Red Sun has skeletons in the closet. Jon is the skeleton in the closet. He has been attached to every single major drama this community has had in its nearly 11 years, from its inception in 2015. I wanted him gone and this is the thanks I get. Life's great, eh?

Onto the next part now, the major offenders.

Jon/Screwdriver will stay banned. I do not want him back in my life, at all. The amount of pain and suffering I've been through because of his actions is incalculable. Jon, why the fuck do you think I want you to talk to me? After what you've done, stay out of my life. I wouldn't even piss on you if you were on fire.

Suisolder has been removed from his role. I have received word that he is intentionally staying on instruction of one of Jon's goons. Just go, stop having someone behave like a minder because you all behave like jealous exes, voraciously checking over every letter I type as well as constantly F5ing the homepage to check if you've finally been hit with a ban. Don't bother checking anymore, you're all banned.

Literail will not be allowed back without good reason for repeated concern trolling of applicants/staff. I see this as a bad faith attempt to dissuade people from volunteering to keep things under control. I have been sent evidence of this and frankly I am not happy. You have not been banned for "talking about the staff exodus", you have been banned for repeated malicious behaviour.

42 will not be allowed back without good reason for repeated smearing of myself and Mikusch, and for promoting what I can only call "we'll make our own redsun with blackjack and hookers". His hyper-tribalism and no desire to listen to any other side of the story, has earned him a place on this wall of shame.

For the record, there are a fair few more users here who have not been named. They have also been banned, and can reach out should they have any questions.

In addition, I have deputized known responsible and experienced users and accepted some permanent moderators back onto the team. They will be cleaning up and handling the goons who attempt to cause harm to others, this community, or my own health and wellbeing. They have been instructed to crack down hard on certain topics and to keep the peace. In short, just go about your day. Tell anyone who brings up drama to fuck off. Talk about baking or ducks or some shit.

Attempting to turn this place into an alt-right haven, progressive "woke" utopia or any other sort of political base will get you and anyone associated with you removed. This is a community for a game. That's all it is.

All I wanted was to get rid of an abuser in my life. Instead I've been framed as some sort of horrendous bipolar monster being manipulated by the devil, being painted as a bigot, therefore I'm "evil", therefore it's justified to do anything you want against me. I do not mean to be overly disrespectful, but what is the point of a transparency thread if the only result of it is being redirected to a private DM, isn't that the opposite of transparent? If this ban was truly justified, for what reason would we need to avoid public accountability? If I really did break a rule worthy of being permanently banned without warning or notice, I'm perfectly fine with it being aired here, since I'm as oblivious as anyone else that could read this post.
So, ultimately, no I don't think I'll stoop to begging for communication in private. Unfortunately, if you're unable to give any semblance of an answer in public then it becomes glaringly obvious that there is nothing you would be able to say in private that makes the effort worthwhile.

I'd like to preface this by stating that if I'm wrong here, I do apologise if I've made a mistake. Against you personally I don't hold any ill will other than this issue that you were willing to go behind my back to remove a ban I'd placed.




This string of messages here where you state that you'd unban him but you're busy, at least in my eyes here, puts your character in doubt.
For reference, Geeno was perma'd for actually carrying this out, and also by saying he'd keep doing it, and implying/threatening a staff walkout if I attempted to stop him.


I had people from outside Red Sun ready to step in if he followed through for months, but ultimately decided it would be better to start with existing community members to keep familiar people about. Some of them don't even post.
I could provide further examples of your behaviour that led to your removal from the team if you so wish. If you would like them sent privately, please let me know, because despite everyone trying to portray me as some sort of egomaniacal dictator, I do give people their own agency.

Jon spent his brief time unbanned slandering me, telling his side of the story via voice chat. I was alerted to this by Literail that Jon was unbanned, which I rectified and put additional measures in place to prevent an unban.

Again, I hold nothing against you as a person, just that this wasn't up to snuff for what had happened and I would rather have not had you act as a spy for Jon.

And since I'm here I will once again request that you address why you were sending DM's to at least one person accusing someone of date rape against the wishes of the supposed victim, who stated that no such thing happened.

To start off I appreciate that you've accommodated my wish to keep this discussion public, I know you could've opted to simply not respond, so again, I appreciate that.

To actually get into the content you've posted, I would really hope that my actual track record of not interfering with any of these bans would speak more than a 2-second offhand joke posted in an entirely different location, of which is almost entirely shitposting.
However you also say my "character is in doubt". This implies that the grander reason behind this ban is my character, rather than any specific action (since I took none). That's an interesting accusation, as the prior nine years of my presence & track record seem to indicate that the worst accusation someone can leverage against me is that I'm 'harsh'. No prior bans, not even any prior reports or even noteworthy complaints. That seems, at least to me, to paint a conflicting image, don't you think?
So, from what I can gather from this, I was permanently banned not because of any kind of rule infraction or malicious activity, but because my character was in doubt. Seems like overkill a little bit, especially when no effort was even made to ask me about it directly?

Also you mention "your removal from the team".
You didn't remove me. I left. On my own. I wasn't even banned until after I left (without making a scene, or even leaving a big message. That's pretty clean and courteous, I think, no?).

Finally, I find it quite insulting that you think I have the time or interest to be a 'spy' in this terrible affair of yours. I really don't have the time, interest, or motive to be anything more than an outside observer. I spent time in this community, I built friendships, and these bonds obviously transcend beyond just the servers. So when events and affairs transpire, it is only natural to communicate about this things with the people I've chosen to spend that time with. I chose to leave staff, not because of this terrible affair, but because the two developers left in the team that I still wanted to keep up with had decided to leave for greener pastures.

Ultimately, however, I never wrote any of this with the ambition of being unbanned or anything. I was merely looking for some kind of closure on being excommunicated with the community I spent nine years being a part of. Your response, as questionable as it was, fulfilled that to at least some extent.
