Book 4: Available on Amazon and Audible!

Our protagonist was set for what should have been a good life; born as a noble prodigy with a talent for Dimension Magic.

Unfortunately, they did not get a chance to live that life of adventure, wonder, and accomplishment as they died an early death.

However, a kind(?) grandpa gives our protagonist a choice for the next life; instead of having a generic life starting from zero, why not join one of his experimental reincarnations not yet approved?

However, the experiment was a lot... Slimier than expected.

What to expect?
- Monster evolution and mutation
- Traits and skills
- Collect-a-Thon
- Lots of experimentation
- Adventurers and Dungeons
- Deception and Disguises
- Magic
- Lots of slime

Very enjoyable read

Reviewed at: Chapter 297 : Void Talk

I’ve been reading this story since it had about 20 chapters and I must say so far this has been one of the best stories in the litrpg genre hands down. Well done.

Of course it has it’s flaws but the good far outweigh the bad and considering this is the author’s first work, even more so.

Very enjoyable read.

this fic was exactly what it says on the tin. a slime monster evolution litrpg.

i'm not a huge fan of the genre, and while this fic is well executed, i don't feel that it really added anything special.

it has a somewhat interesting System, and a pretty good portrayal of your standard litrpg munchkinning

but the characters aren't particularly strong, and that's one of the things i care most about in fiction. i would be tempted to rate this 3.5 or 4 stars, probably closer to 4............

but ultimately none of that matters at all. as, after all, it features a slime!!!!!!

i love slimes so much <3

perfect 5 stars no notes

Amazingly written Litrpg

While its still quite early in the story, I have to say this is shaping up to be one of my favorites of all time here on this site! From the amazing creativity within spells and skills that the main character displays to the quirky interactions between the mc and the rest of the world. I simply cannot recommend this novel enough. Wonderful read all around.

I have to say i was reading this story from chapter 5 and and the first 20 chapters were really rough. But it got better and better. It was for me a for star befor syl got his clas and now it is a solid 5 the class and magic system offer a lot more depth than only the traits.

I hope it stays as good as it is.

Got some stinkers but a good story

Reviewed at: Chapter 198 : Spider Pageant

A good fun story, lighthearted and easy.  Everything about the slimes experience is easy too.  Everything is easy.

It's a fun read and the MC is a bit of an oddball.  The system is weird with interactions from higher beings that seems like it's all just a game.

I keep reading because it's fun and light hearted, there is literally no tension in this story whatsoever, just a god tier slime with no weaknesses, which you would think would be bland but I think of it fondly for reasons unknown to myself.

Aimless story, good for passing time

Reviewed at: Chapter 76 : Debuffs

This story is aimless...

The style is good, it feels satisfying to see the character gain power, but to what ends ?

From what we know, the world is peaceful. No lurking danger, no evil god, no scheme behind the scene that would impact the character. Also, the world seems fake... Monster spawn in the wilderness, humans (and any other intelligent creatures) don't seem to really care when one of their members dies... Yeah they are "sad", but we don't really see any impact of their death or any long lasting emotions...

The system feels like fake power, just like a game.

This story is just progression for progression.

Killing monsters or any other creatures is fun, but because there is no reason behind any kill other than "the creature needs to be killed", I never feel invested in any fights.

Gaining skill is very fun and satisfying, but every time she get a new one, it feels less and less special. Why would I care that she went from 52 skill to 53 ? I can't remember everything she has won or that she could use.

Speaking of the character, she's a blank slate. She doesn't really shows emotions, wants or needs... She goes with the flow, but it's boring...

This story is not a total pain to read, and can even be enjoyable a some points.

I will try a few more chapters, but if no plot starts soon, then I will drop this fiction.

Read all 4 books available on kindle unlimited over the past 3 weeks and had to come over here for more ❤️

I love my inquisitive slime poking, prodding,  and immediately forgetting things 😆 they really need to get a skill [list maker] to keep track of everything. Maybe one day their ai core can keep track of thibgs like a secretary. For more book specific reviews, I left one as completing them on kindle (amazon) and goodreads

Great monster evolution story!

Reviewed at: Chapter 117 : Safety Override

Syl is a great example of a monster evolution story. The mc reads as a more whimsical Rimuru, and has great development over the course of book 1 and 2. Book 3 is looking to be just as good. Overall it is a solid read and well worth the time.

Just a really good fantasy LitRPG done right

Reviewed at: Chapter 104 : Thunderstruck

I’m so glad I found this story. It’s rare to find quality stories that really scratch that specific spot litRPG and isekai stories do.

It’s well paced delivering that perfect blend of fantasy/slice of life aspects that make the world feel lived in, versus fast paced level ups and plot that make you want to read more.

Grammar is perfect and it’s easy to tell the author either checks his work carefully or has an editor.

The main character gets development and grows physically and emotionally on the journey without bogging down the fun parts of the story. The other characters are fun as well. My only wish is that the side characters impacted the story more but I feel that as the story progresses that’ll happen naturally.

Plus the upload schedule is pretty quick and consistent which is huge.

Brilliant example of the monster LRPG genre

Reviewed at: Chapter 95 : Forest Stampede

First the basics. Well written, good pace (and I like a good pace,) well reasoned magic system and laws, empathetic characters, with plenty of the clichés we've come to love and respect; expect even.

Will the mc get awesome unique powers making them stronger than average?! Will the mc experience a sudden addiction to the human (or the less often other sapient) race?! Will they suffer through great tragedy?! And will they save the lives of those they deam as worthy?!

Well stop reading reviews and go read the book. It's fantastic
