Share Energy plots expansion south of Border next year

Electricity provider aims to split profits on a 50-50 basis with its customers

Northern Ireland-based electricity supplier Share Energy, which has pledged to split its profits with customers, is planning to launch in the Republic next year, the Irish Independent has learned.

It will involve a significant investment and see it vie with incumbents including Electric Ireland, Energia and SSE Airtricity at a time when electricity prices remain significantly higher than a few years ago.
