Like so many people across the world, the story about Punch the Japanese monkey really tugged on our heartstrings here at the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. We don’t even know why there are strings on our hearts. It seems that is something we should have looked at.
Anyway, we saw how much Punch liked that stuffed monkey that zookeepers gave to him.
We figured Punch might prefer a different companion… like a talking Sheriff Grady Judd doll.
