HI Ed! Wouldn't it be in Mystra's best interest if there was no *the gift* barrier for people to cast magic? Or is there a simple reason like the weave not currently being strong enough?

It would be in Mystra's best interest, but the world doesn't work to serve anyone's best interest. It's nothing to do with the strength of the Weave (which is all the energies of the world). Rather, it's about the aptitudes of individual entities. #realmslore
