Donald Trump pays attention to polling.

Don’t believe it? Just listen to him talk and the subject will likely come up or head on over to his Truth Social account where he tends to present positive numbers.

But a recent segment from CNN data guru Harry Enten turned out some numbers the President is not likely to share. And that is because Enten broke out a look at four different polls that measured Trump’s net approval rating.

They were not good.

“Look at this, I’ve got four numbers across for you on this screen here,” Enten said as he pulled up a graphic. “They are all second-term lows for the given pollster. What are we talking about? AP-Norc, 26 points below water. NBC, 22 points below water. Yahoo/YouGov, 20 points below water. Quinnipiac, 19 points below water. So, we are ranging from negative 19 points all the way to negative 26 points.

“There’s this question that folks keep asking, ‘What is the floor for Donald Trump?’” Enten continued. “And I’m not sure there is a floor because if there is one, Donald Trump, at least in term number two, has just fallen through it to another low level.”

Enten then compared Trump’s marks now to his first term as well as Biden’s last term.

During the same point in his term, Biden was at -13 points, and Trump was at -17 points during the same period in his first term. He is now averaging -22 points among the four polls during his second term.

“He’s doing way worse than Joe Biden was doing at this point in his term,” Enten said. “So, the bottom line is this: Donald Trump is setting new records for himself in term number two. Setting new records for himself in terms of where he was at this point in term number one, and he is doing worse than Joe Biden which is of course the comparison that Donald Trump does not want to be. Because we all know what happened to Joe Biden. His party lost the house in term number one at the mid-term elections and, of course, Joe Biden was not elected to a second term.”

Enten was asked what is causing the drop in Trump’s net approval rating.

He showed that is net approval rating is -27 points among independents while it was -17 points during the same period in his first term.

“I don’t understand how this works out well for the President of the United States,” Enten said. “When you are 27 points below water with the center of the electorate, with independents, you lose, your party loses.

“He’s just so low, and he’s so low with the center of the electorate.”
