The Ruoss Minor system was a star system located in the Colonies[1] and the Interior,[2] situated in grid square M-9 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] It contained the planet Ruoss Minor, which was controlled by the Galactic Empire during the Imperial Era.[3] In 3 BBY,[4] the Alderaanian Princess Leia Organa reviewed a list of locations in need of humanitarian aid, which included Ruoss Minor due to the planet having suffered a crackdown ordered by Emperor Palpatine, the Empire's leader.[3]
