Presented at Dhoby Ghaut MRT until February 2026, "Becalm the Typhoon" by Joel Keong and @mitjaiinn offers commuters a moment of visual intensity alongside quiet reflection within the city's constant movement.
Created for "Next Stop: Together!”, a @sgartweek 2026 project presented by ART:DIS, supported by the @nacsingapore, @ltasg and @smrtsingapore Buses, curated by @johnsavage.fromthewoods, this piece emerges from an intuitive creative dialogue where Keong's vibrant colour blocks meet Mit's layered, atmospheric surfaces.
Through their combined approaches, the artists create a composition rich in colour relationships and textural depth, where contrasting forces of energy and restraint, chaos and tranquillity, exist in dynamic balance.
"Becalm the Typhoon" also features in guided walking tours on 24 January (10.30am) and 31 January (1pm). Registration is free at artdis.org.sg/next-stop-together
