The biggest problem with privacy is that most people don't understand how they can get hurt by handing it over to companies. The common attitude is that ordinary person does not have anything so valuable or embarasing that it would hurt them when exposed. People accepted surveillance based model - so the companies do things they would not dare to do even a couple of years ago. They keep pushing because there is no real resistance or cost. Surveillance is convenient and seemingly harmless - enough for non-technical users.

People downplaying privacy as a virtue signal are among the most uneducated people on the topic.

As someone who has tried using proton a couple of times for mail & calendar, I find it is quite limited and I'm struggling to stay as a customer. (Main problems I see are lack of adequate search for emails and in the android app for calendar details)

It's a shame Proton support don't bother to respond to my message regarding them showing me a renewal price then charging me more than that.

Biggest problem I face is Google’s failure to accept my existence… to the extent, it will collect my qualifications and then tell the world that I don’t exist and something is really wrong with Google Workplace! I have noticed that behavior since pandemic, withholding paychecks, cheating on paychecks for no real reasons that behavior with Google Workplace! It doesn’t make any sense?
